A Harley-Davidson press release is correcting the price for its newly announced limited-edition Arctic Blast Street Glide Special. At the unveiling of the bike, The MoCo said the bike’s MSRP would be $38,899. However, today’s press release corrects and lowers the machine’s price to $32,999. The reduction means that Harley’s special bike is now $5,900 cheaper than when originally announced.
Harley’s Street Glide Special model is a “hot-rod” bagger. The Milwaukee company says it combines long-haul touring comfort with custom style. Propelling the bike is Harley’s Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 ci V-Twin engine.
Harley-Davidson’s Vice President of Styling and Design Brad Richards says the Arctic Blast paint:
“…is executed in strokes of high-contrast color intended to communicate the appearance of motion. The design looks bold from a distance but offers interesting details that can only be seen up close, including a blue pearl effect over the white base, and a ghosted hexagon pattern on the fairing.”
Other features of the new bagger are a batwing fairing with splitstream vent to reduce buffeting, stretched locking saddlebags, a Daymaker® LED headlight, low profile engine guards, and Prodigy custom wheels.
Infotainment is provided by the Boom™ Box GTS infotainment system that uses a color touch screen display, advanced navigation and compatibility with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, hand and voice commands (when paired with a compatible headset), and a two-speaker audio system as standard equipment.
In addition, a Chopped Tour-Pak® luggage carrier with matching paint is also available through Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories. MSRP for this tidbit is $1,699.95. You can use some of that $5,900 price reduction to offset the cost of this luggage carrying bauble.
