Honda and HRC are throwing down the gauntlet. Interestingly, they are making the challenge to themselves. According to Autoevolution, the Japanese manufacturer has made it its goal for 2021 to win all of:

…the world’s major titles through its Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) operated factory teams, and its satellite teams.”  – Honda according to Autoevolution

To carry out its goal, the company will have to dedicate huge sums of money. And apparently, Honda will make that investment. Honda will enter teams in no fewer than nine racing series and events. Included in the list are all MotoGP categories, FIM World Superbike, all AMA Supercross categories, FIM Motocross World Championship, FIM Trial World Championship, Endurance World Championship, and Dakar.

Many Championships to Win

Honda is promising that all of these titles will be defended in 2021.

Racing is Honda’s driving force, and by competing in the various racing series, its technology and associates are taken to the next level, and it’s racing spirit and newly developed technologies are applied to many of its products.”

“Honda will continue, through its products, services and racing, to make its dreams come true with its customers, in the spirit of its corporate slogan The Power of Dreams.”  – Honda according to Autoevolution

Presently Honda fields a veritable army of machines and teams. At a minimum, there will be 11 Honda teams with 23 riders. During an online event, Honda revealed its MotoGP teams and riders for its 2021 campaign:

Repsol Honda Team – RC213V – 93 – Marc Márquez

Repsol Honda Team – RC213V – 44 – Pol Espargaro

LCR Honda IDEMITSU – RC213V – 30 – Takaaki Nakagami

LCR Honda CASTROL – RC213V – 73 – Alex Márquez

This list is just a smattering of riders and teams that Honda plans to assist in 2021. For more information about Honda’s racing lineups, you can check out the Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) webpage.
