Guys - surely you can tell that the bloke is either on a wind up or is a complete nutcase?
Or he's out there right now, tearing it up?
I'm sure hes tearing something up, just not a worldwide ride with hidden motorcycles parts and hand carved canoes
Come on guys. There is no one "right way" to travel, experience it, or write about it. Everybody does it their own way, and I think that´s great. If you don´t enjoy this thread, how about just moving on to the next one that you might enjoy?
Who said anything about not enjoying it? This is one of the most, uhm, let's call it "eccentric" things I've read on this site. Personally, I'd love it if a year from now he posted back here with pics of his new Amazon wife.
This is literally the best Trip Planning/RR ever.
Website now published.
its been a while. May peace be upon you & your households & may you enjoy fine motorcycling escapades.
One day after a long long time, i tried to log into adv rider but was blocked! someone had hacked my account and posted porn on here (sorry but that wasnt me!) Also I noticed Photobucket have tried to con everyone out of their photos.
Things have been very busy. Lots of planning, lots of riding. I have been back and forward to France, Georgia, Spain & the Canaries Archipelago many times where I went & lived on the mountains in the peaks of Gran Canaria. Eventually moving the motorcycle on to Fuerteventura.
After enjoying the delights of English winter weather, i decided to escape back to the Canaries.
for the last 3 months I have been back in London, working like a machine 7 days a week, every week, preparing for Stage #1
Visas obtained, most bike parts obtained, lots still to do!
I will be starting with Switzerland to Kazakhstan. I leave on 26th February 2018
I will ride 9000 miles via Balkans, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia...
All content & hopefully video will be loaded to my website throughout March, you are welcome to follow along:
(I am still working on the site, apologies if some pages are not full yet)
hope you enjoy
In an effort to make my Kawasaki safer to leave somewhere for an extended time I painted it entirely green. Here you see it parked in front of my garage. Very effective results (I think). Off white might be better due to most walls are that color.

Not sure you need to spend time on planning stage #3 just yet. The best of luck!
WOW ! No gear on the bike! No luggage ! (I did see a brown suitcase in 1 pic.) No shirt ! I love the 50lb 2" heavy link chain and lock around the bike !? Awesome !
