thanks . . . sounds like grabbing the paperwork is a good prophylactic move.
. . . and the money supports the off-highway motorcycle program.
then it's a no brainer! thanks!
Do you need a sticker even if you have a plated dirtbike?
yup, plated bikes need stickers
I believe that if you register online, a printout of your receipt will be acceptable until they sticker arrives. If you want get it taken care of ahead of time.
Your statement agrees with the website.
Just to save folks some time, you're gonna need your bike's "serial number" to complete the registration . . . I take that to mean VIN.
Not ragging, just wanna make sure folks have everything they need to get the job done when they start the process on line.
Is this the web site https://gowild.wi.gov/products/quicksale ?
Go Wild is where I wound up, but I see nothing for OHM on the Quick Sale page . . . I may be missing it, though.
Seems only ATV/UTVs are mentioned . . .
Upon looking at my account, I make a correction. First you need to create a go wild account. Second add your bike to your vehicle list. Third buy trail sticker.
Since I don't have a printer can I get a sticker locally in Boulder Junction?
The word above is... ranger station off hwy j near woodruff, but what if you snapped a photo with your phone instead?
This is good conversation. It sucks to eat up vacation time struggling with this. Another trip, the sports shop we used for years had closed, left us scrambling.
Here's a map with all of the currently listed sales locations. Minocqua/Woodruff has a pretty high density of bait shops, etc. that offer the services and is on the path for most travelling from the south. There is one shop listed in Boulder proper. This summer when I acquired my fishing license, they (Up North Traders, Sayner) essentially used GoWild on a PC then had an Ipad so I could see my info to ensure it was input accurately then printed it. Being the system is the same for OHM passes, other than needing some vehicle info, I think these shops should have no issue printing them. That said, the OHM sticker program is still pretty new compared to ATV/UTV and snowmobile programs in the state so be patient with tellers as they may have never processed one.
I plan to arrive at camp early Monday evening. If anyone wishes to join me the plan is to take a big bike ride (well big to me, 650 Husky Terra) Tuesday, motel it Tuesday night in Copper Harbor MI. and back to Boulder Junction Wednesday. There will be waterfalls, Lake of the Clouds, Porcupine Mountains, Firesteel River Trestles, County Highway G, mines, Brockway Mountain, sporty roads both paved and otherwise and hopefully good times o-plenty. If interested start one of those there conversations/private messages here with me or visit site 142 at Camp Holiday Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Non-Resident it's a little more difficult as it needs you to add your motorcycle. It takes you though registration asking for Seller information, Amount paid, County it will be in. Than after all that you are asked to pay sales tax, plus sticker fee. On this web site https://dnr.wi.gov/Permits/registrationandtitling.html#1 at the bottom of the page it has this "nonresidents must register their OHMs for public use if they wish to legally operate their OHM for recreational purposes on areas open to the public.". After calling WI DNR and working with them, answering the online form questions per there instructions it would not let me complete it and they where not sure what to do.
Ha! Celebrity status. You have me confused with Ewan McGregor. I'm just some olde fart.
Now I'm scared. You're gonna haze me?
Aww man, you don't know Charley Boorman?
I am an olde fart too, so even if we had met I'd have forgotten it.
Not as far as you know.
errr Not exactly?
Never hazed, but some feel dazed after the rally.
