Also, while @ Cataloochee, at the end of the road between Rough Fork and Big Fork Trails, there is a meadow to view Elk re-introduced to the area. impressive, bring a camera.

Buzzards Roost is a short hop East off Mt. Sterling RD. just before Cosby and worth a stop.

Hwy 32 is a short version of the dragon and was wet last time i did it on my little 650L (lil red). it was slick wet but, manageable.

if Gberg isn't your thing, you can divert to Wears Valley RD and go around the long way to Murphy. Or, take the NW entrance to the park @ Wears Valley (little springs rd) to Cades Cove and run the barricade @ Parson Branch RD and end up at the top of the Dragon.. saves alot of time and the rangers usually give up the chase after a few miles (don't forget to mud up the license plate). Just Sayin.

Check out this area around Bearpen Gap (note other gaps share this name). Zoom in, I see lots of old roads through the trees. I'll be scouting them next month while at MMM.

Ignore the directions on this next link. But instead look through the woods between these 2 points. See the the road that is clearly there BUT not on the map? I'll be seeing what it is like too.

Yep, sure have :-) I've both maps that cover the area. I find this sight to be most useful for mapping. Go figure, the Federal Gov got something kinda of right. That road I would like to check out seems to be an old Forest Rd by the same name as the rd parallel to it on the north, Owl Creek Rd.

I’m not on the “in list” though I paid via PayPal 1-13-18.

I know I’m not cool enough to be “in” though.

Sorry, I thought you were gonna reach out to us since it didn't give us the option when we got the cabins.
