Yo, just picked one up that is complete with ownership.
    40 years in a barn...
Turns over well with good compression but IGN key switch was disconnected.
Will get a new switch and give her some 6 volt lovin'.
Tank and carb were surprisingly clean.
    Same as a Tigress.

    Den near Toronto CDA.

Will try and figure out how to post pic's.

And the clean-up begins! The first time it runs, and warms up those old castings and steel, the smell is just wonderful.

Beautiful old scooter. We need to get as many of these old vintage scooters back on the road as possible, to counter all the new electric crap coming out. I may buy a vintage 2 stroke project scooter to work on next summer. I have an air conditioned shop.

Many horror stories of buying used scoots from Vietnam...

I usually prefer working on old two smokes as everything's soaked in oil therefore less rust, but this one is in good shape for it's age.
Had a VBB Vespa in boxes years ago and a bunch of other older motorcycles.
Ya 1st start up is always amazing.
"accidentally" fired up a Suzuki 2T years ago in the basement and the smoke just layed on the floor, like looking down on clouds, wifey not impressed!

Have a 80's Honda Gyro "X" tilting trike running now, not a regular Gyro but the X non-exported model.
    Ya, I know pic's...

There are usually plenty of old vintage Vespas that need repair on Craigslist here, and I am familiar with the Vespa from owning the Stella. But it somehow seems too "common" I would rather have something more exotic. But then finding parts becomes a problem. I love that Fuju Rabbit that RedArrow got.
