Thanks Bill and jimmy, I will use your advice. I don't want to get out there too early or too late. I have to consider the girls collage schedule. The late notice for Hatfield is because I found out nobody got into the LBL. I was able to retract my entry from Jesse. Very nice guy. I wanna ride with my NEW FRIENDS. Yeah buddy.

Blaze, it's called Antora Meadows. not all that easy to get to. From where you are you'd need to get to Bonanza or Saguache and head up from there. Several ways to do that the easiest is probably from Villa Grove and up thru Spook City but you'll still need 4wd to make the climb, worth it though.

Are you still at the store and how late in the year do they stay open?

Awesome, I'll hopefully make it up there this year then.

Still at the store... I'm planning on living here year round so I can snowmobile and snowboard almost every day. The store will be open well into November, but we will have gas and lodging year round.

That's good news I may make it back before the snow flies, I'll stop in.

And after looking, from where you are I think it'd be a good bit quicker to take 114 around, for whatever it's worth.

Showing these pics to my friends inspired them to follow me up to the Meadows. Drier this time, and no traction anywhere, my knobs are worn out, switching to MT43 (trials) which I brought with me.

Winds up there had to be 50mph, had to watch where you park.

My last ride to Antora Meadows (about 3 weeks after this trip), I ran into Mntdawg (out of Salida) on the trail down to Bonanza! Very experienced rider and knows the area, hope waybill can meet him and maybe get together for some rides in the future.

I will give him the link to this thread! :deal

I like that picture above, notice how Chris is flat footing, and I had to find a rock on the uphill side. LOL

I have since lowered mine 38mm front and back. Can toss that rock now.

while you're looking at making another colorado trip, I advise ya check out hartman rocks in gunnison, and peach valley/flat top mesa in montrose, as well as dry creek/escalante canyon in montrose.

very cool blm riding areas :ricky

I'm pushing for September when the crowds are gone, temps are milder, and leaves are beginning to change (def worth seeing). But I realize not everyone can get away then so we'll see when most can make it.

Rich puts all the info in a computer then one day an answer pops out. It's busy doing other stuff right now. :D

Heck, I'm all for two trips, one maybe in June, the second in September, leave part of the train in storage a few months. :deal

Yee Haa Anytime sounds good to me. I am heading out to Moab and Frisco Colorado for May with the family. Taking the bikes to see what we can cover. Me and five women on bikes. When I get back I am sure I will need some mantrip time. Anybody out there then let me know so we can get together.

Stu - curious if you're a Moab expert? I'm expanding my range beyond CO this summer :evil and have the typical questions regarding Moab.

There will be quite a few folks at the Polar Bear who have been there and can answer your questions. Including "Stu" (his first name is Mike). Anyway looking forward to seeing you at the Polar Bear.
