They are a close match but, yeah, I do honestly believe Max is the better driver.
Smiley is too nice, does not have the fighting spirit.
Max is an ass but he surely has the drive to win.

    Red Bull
    McLaren
    Renault
    Toro Rosso
    Force India
    Williams

    Sauber

I think Force India is a better car than the Toro Rosso, but the drivers are likely to harm one another and leave points on the table

I am finding it interesting where folks are putting Toro Rosso and McLaren in the rankings after the engine swap. Will be an interesting story to see who has the reliability edge going forward as well as the output of the two power plants.

Of course we also have to look to the drivers also Vandoorne & Alonzo vrs Gasly & Hartley.

Max has the drive to win, quite possibly the talent too! The main question is does he have the maturity ? For now I believe he does not. Someday maybe, not this year if last year is any indication....

It's all over the place, I think Torro Tosso made out like bandits on the engines... McLaren have the better drivers, even if they only had Alonso... If McLaren could have put a muzzle on him to shut him up with his GP2 engine comments and kept his out of the engine decision, they might have ended up with a competitive car this year... That plus Alonso's driving.... Who knows...

I think Honda stopped trying to fuck over Alonso, kept most upgrades for this season and will double down on the effort to save face with Torro Rosso... I predict the Honda engine of the past with the reliability of the mini trail engines...

Last year was a wasted year with all the engine failures.
He had nothing too lose and adapted his driving style to it.

It is not like he crashed himself out of the WDC chances as a certain “mature” 4 time winner.

I have no idea what Max will do this year but I have high expectations.

Alrighty then, it's gonna be like this is it? :lol3

Vettel did not crash himself out of a WDC, that is just an inflammatory remark from a Max VerChashing fan trying to save face... Max was never even in the WDC conversation, he got a little notoriety for a few lucky finishes when the stars aligned and the unicorns farted up wind...

His driving style was similar to his fathers temperment, irratic, selfish and violent at best, reckless, immature and dangerous at worse... If I (Max) can't win, someone else is VerCrashing with me... :lol3

Don't get your hopes up yet, he may end up on the sidelines just like his daddy if he does not grow up...

Time will tell.... Let's wait till the first reds go out and see what happens... :-)

Who knows maybe Christian or Helmot talked some sense into him in the off season... :lol2

While we wait for the reds to go out, send me some ot that coffee shop weed you have been partaking with... It seems to have some hallucinogenic qualities...... :lol3

Imagine if Seb and Max crash in the first corner down under.... :imaposer:imaposer:imaposer

Coffee shops are for weed only. This only gives you the Bottas/Raikkonen stare.
Whenever here you should go to a smartshop where you can taste some magic mushrooms.

If they both crash in the first corner of the first race..... :fight
It might be fun to watch but I don’t like Lewis enough to give him that advantage.

It will be difficult enough for Redbull as the Italian bastards own half of the track marshalls. :viking

MotoGP has concessions for teams without wins in dry races. It gives them a couple more engines and more testing time to help them be more competitive. Other than concerns of the red team throwing a bitch I believe F1 could benefit from similar concessions to level out the field. Thoughts?

I'll bite! I would not give them more race engines than the other teams. I would give the bottom 5 teams more money from the pot exclusively for testing and development. I would also give the top teams the same testing time at their own cost. I would get rid of the simulators, if there is a way to ban them, that would be good. All testimg would happen at preset times and tracks, open to all teams in the same time. No private testing....

Don't know why more sanctioning bodies don't do this. Rent a track for a weekend. Open it to all teams registered for the season. Sell tickets to the public and host the racing press.

If you want to do laps then you do them in front of the fans, the press, the sanctioning officials and EVERY OTHER TEAM IN ATTENDANCE. :D Expect everyone to take pictures of your car. Expect people to record your lap and sector times.

Addendum: Let's do it one better. Add a "Parc Ferme" to the pit lane. In every session make all cars coming off the track stop for five seconds in this area. Provide area around this Parc Ferme for any credentialed photographer or team member to take pictures of the cars as tested on track. You want to run a special wing or barge board? Everyone gets to take pics of it before you cover it up.
