Do you mean weather? Coolish, overcast, looks like could get a light shower, but not likely according to forecasts.

Was an attempt at humour at the expense of shorter people, sorry.

Check out the AUS PR7 Thread. Here’s one reply from a little while back, there’s photos in the thread.

A little more on PR7s. Peter K (aka PK) reports that the PR7 seat height is tall - and also "feels" tall. He exceeds 6' and has to lift his foot over and is tippy toes when standing. It looks like he will be coming on the Bombala ride and plans to be in Canberra the night before if others want to check it out.

He also reports that he has OziExplorer on the PR7's ASUS tablet (1:100,000) which requires .PLT for tracks. ‘GPSBabel’ does the conversion gpx to plt. For those interested in bigger screens for navigation etc, it may be interesting to compare the ASUS and the Montanna side by side.

My mate uses Osmand+ on his PR7 and is happy with it. I'm not sure he has actuall loaded any tracks on it though.

Another Autumn Leaf done and dusted. It was good too.

weather : kind. very kind. yah-boo-suckface if you didn't go.

crowd : up on last year

rally events : really good, with a great final in the slow race involving ADpete

band : quite passable cover band, I've heard a LOT worse

tucker : ducati club of canberra did it, so the pulled pork rolls were terrific (I had 2 myself..)

bonfire : banned, due to dry conditions, but plenty of fire drums supplied so no worries.

vodka jelly cups : musta had them on Friday, VERY disappointed not to get a few on arrival Saturday.

No Baz? :dunnoYou were missed, you old bludger.

Good ride there, good ride home. Ratty being repaired as I speak (dead brake light fitting, another broken rack weld,...:shog....).

Bike ran well. New-to-me Goretex gear worked a treat. No-one died. It was a good weekend and a good rally.

It was also just up the road from the ACT.:patch

Hi guys - sorry for the late notice. Can anyone reccomend a spot to pitch a tent in/around Canberra tonight? I'm headed to the ADV meetup this weekend and my bed fell through.

There's always the Cotter campground which has cooking amenities, toilets & showers for $15/night (Seniors discount $12). If you want something quieter, head a bit further to Woods Reserve, Tidbinbilla, or Orraral/Honeysuckle creek and check out where the Deep Space communication dishes used to be. Just pray thye local scouts aren't also having their camp out.

Blue Range Hut @$10/night, which you could also sneak into if it get very wet. Give you a bit of a ride through Uriarra forest.

Or if you don't mind roughing it, pick nearly any part of Namadgi off the beaten track, and just be vewy qwiet :brow.

If you wanna free camp, wander down the Boboyan Rd through the Namadgi national park, south of Tharwa, and pick a camping spot. There's some proper campgrounds down there. Just clear off before some ranger shows up asking for a contribution in the morning eh.

Been blowy and wet here today, and likely some sleet shit up Bobyan Rd way. Should settle by tonight though, maybe.

Managed to thread our way through the weather for a great ride from Numeralla to Naroona for lunch on Thursday and return - great ride. Of note was the graded road from Belowra valley to the top of the mountain along Falcon Rd. It is now overly smooth with a layer of fine, loose stuff on top.

Bloody cold trip [in Magna !] to Sydney and back, wonder how everyone went at the 'Dog' ?
Had a guided tour of the Eveleigh Workshop, myself, Bev and young brother Darryl were shown around by Matt Mewburn who runs the place
    [IMG]
Like something outta 'Steampunk' movie - well this is where the inspiration comes from ! - the steam driven machines aren't used now but all in good order thanks to Matt & his crew
    [IMG]
One of the pieces made there - Darryl being a mechanical bloke just loved the old gear, so did I !
    Cheers
