I'm a solid Maybe.
Bummed out that I can’t make this one! I went to the one at the oxyoke in 2014 and it was a ton of fun. I know most people are going for the trails, but I had a blast on the road locally.
Great spot, we stay there every year for the rally car races.
We had a bear in our camp last year, so just be aware of where you leave your food.
I am a maybe depending on family obligations.
So... what's the deal here? This sounds like drinking with strangers in a field. Since I've only met two people from Adv in meatspace in five years of silly tag games I figure I ought to make an effort at some point to put user names to faces. Is this really BYOB, every man for himself, or should I be planning to truck an arse load of chili and/or a couple bottles of "bad idea" across the state? Is there riding to be done? Is it dirty? Would say... an untitled two stroke dirt bike in the bed of a pickup be more useful than riding there on an S1000XR?
I'm a definite maybe anyway I think. I mean, worst case scenario... I'm drunk in a field, right?
Hey Bearfoot! I take it there are adequate trees for hammocks?
Rumor has it that the trees there are either too close, or too far apart for such sleeping devices.
Sweet............... I like bears.
Plenty of hammock trees in the back.
Yeah. I did that one also. Great trip from South Jersey. On and off road. Fireside chat was animated...
I gotta go! Is biker bar supposed to be a bad thing? I dont suppose I can keep my bike in the room though LOL.
"This place is dirty and disgusting and the owner is a crook. Do not ruin your vacation by staying there! It is not, I repeat, NOT a family establishment! It was advertised as a family place but it is far from it. There is junk everywhere and you check in at a biker bar. Do not stay there."
Wellsboro and the Pins Creek Valley has a very hoity toity tourism industry . The bar is set pretty high for many people. This place is more than acceptable for BYOB. I do recommend to everyone to check out the old firetower turned observation post if it's open . It's a walkable distance from the campground .
He said walk.
I'm in! See you all there.
The ride up looks a little tricky........but the ride down would probably make it worthwhile.
I must be thinking of a different Wellsboro...... the gas light and the old North Star don't say hoity toity to me. Though I did have a bit of a run-in years ago with a gold-chained, bleached blonde metrosexual park ranger at Harrison. Kept asking me how much beer I had with me. Told him none. He was asking the wrong question. Should have asked how much will I have.... as I was headed to the distributor for a case.
He also complained about my waders hanging on a line between 2 trees.

I was thrown out of the gas light once upon a time in my younger days.
The gaslight is still a dive bar of sorts but the North Star went full hipster this last year.
Yep. That is the wellsboro I know
