Have spent hours reading threads on noisy cam chains. After going in circles decided to call CJDesigns. Lady answered the phone and said let me talk with the shop crew and I will call you back. Next day I get a call from Craig, he gave me some advice and 3 days latter parts are here. Hard to beat that kind of service. Thank you!

Agree! Excellent service (and products!) all the way around. . . . Craig and crew are the epitome of good service, products, and knowledge, as far as I'm concerned.

Love to hear about good folks and companies. Another CH fan here.

So what did he say to do about the noise?

So far I have only gotten a water pump kit from them but everything was great. I plan on using them more in the future.

I completely agree...Craig and his crew do an outstanding job in all areas of service, products and knowledge!! I work at the largest KTM dealership in Alaska and I often refer my customers to CJ Designs (especially the guys riding the older KTMs - 950/990s) All around, they are an awesome company!

I have the same problem as you do, would you mind sharing how to resolve this issue?

    Thank you.

Just got an Earth-X battery from Craig & Team. Great service, price & discount for ADV members what more could you ask for.

Ordered new cam chain adjusters and washers. Have not installed yet, Craig suggested starting there and if that did not help to replace the pump housing. Apparently they up dated the housing in a latter model (2009?). Mine is an 04 and I don't think it will ever be a quiet motor.

Just be aware that the updated water pump housing was designed to work with the newer impeller design (both were released at the same time). The newer impeller design has a lower overall height and I'm pretty certain the newer housing is designed for that lower height / profile so they should be installed together if that's the path you're taking.
