Seems every time I was wearing my MX boots, DiggerD would lead me into snow/ice covered trails.
As Scotty (Dusty) would say," If you ain't sliding, you ain't riding."
You want a slick sole for snow and ice, unless you are pushing a bike.
Moe fun to slide and ride...
Sounds like a pair of lucky boots to me! Ordering a set of scorpion pro's and a box of studs this week. Stoked!
Seen on Apple Jams Roaming Rally last month, the Z & D route.

Food for thought on *regon* tractionators.
Went for a dirt bike ride with my buds and was waiting for them, wondering what was the hold up.
I doubled back and found them, but before I got there, one was trapped under the bike, still running, and his face inches away from the chain and rear wheel.
His head was pinned in a way that the other rider thought his neck was broke.
Looks like I better be packing a first aid kit with some additional maxi-pads on my dirt bike.
RTW Doug's home in 'bama.
~9,000 miles~2 months~KTM 950~

Adventures in our own back yard.
I've been playing in the hills just West of Philomath and up Woods Creek Rd. Thanks for the tip Stasi! I've been up there a few times but I knew there would be some fun to be had after the recent rains.
There are some fun 4x4 roads that don't seem to go any where but make for interesting trails. The road on the right is steeper than it looks in the picture. There's some new logging and I think it has been recently regraded. It got pretty muddy farther up. If I do put some knobbies on I'll be back for that road! I actually did surprisingly well with my 80/20 tires.
Yesterday was perfect. I left work a half hour early, road for 45 minutes in the forest, stopped for a pint at 5th Street Growler and was home just after 5.
I am back from the dark side of the Moon.
Had my first rotator cuff/biceps surgery 2 weeks ago.
I will be at flat tail next Tuesday, if'in I catch a ride.
Sure is hard sitting still with such beautiful weather this week.
How long until you can ride again?
Unfortunately I had to fire my only other brewer on friday, so my schedule just got pretty well f'ed. That said Im picking the GX up with a new set of Shivers on the front week after next so i dont think Ill be able to resist at least a quick 4 hour spin. So excited to not bottom on every other obstacle.....
I'm available. I can provide references.... well, at least one. Just let me quit HP, I think 24 years just shows a lack of imagination on my part.
I'll be back to work late March, so I hope to be riding in April
Hired! Wait....Youre cool with working for beer and bacon right....?
March?!?! Holy jeez Righty....Thats some major recovery time. Im thinking maybe we should pitch in and buy you the new Valentino Rossi video game so you stay sane. . .
Just look at me, I live on beer and bacon!
