....and Friday twas a dang good day to play hookey....
My wife and I took a ride in the MX-5 out Quartzville Road to Marion Forks today. Beautiful day with lots of fall leaves to enjoy. The current operator of the Marion Forks Restaurant has decided not to renew her lease. She has been operating the restaurant for three years. The last day she will be open will be Sunday, October 29. (Tomorrow.) A sign on the door said "Last day open is October 29. Then closed for the season." She didn't mention if the owner had a new lessee for next year.
Mo gear head stufffff....
But does it wheelie ?
Damn! Meant to post about this the other day. The commercial is hilarious. Think people will actually buy these monstrosities?!
Anybody making it in tonight? I actually have the night off for once...
Bump...did post B4, but some up dates...like they climbed Mt Hood...that's all...gezs.....and saw one of his best sunrises......that's all...
Zoob...they are requesting routing going south..feel free to add you 2 cents worth..
Anyone else get a chance to play in the mud this weekend? I think it's time to try some knobbies!
See ya anytime after 5pm tonight
I definitely like earlier meetups this time of year, since I'm doing this new thing where I try not to get frostbite on a Bi-annual basis. Haven't seen another bike on the road for a few days now....
OK, instead of your Wednesday morning coffee watch this. No closing your eyes>
Ha! eyes wide open! What a cool course - I especially liked the big ramp towards the end.
I bet the suspension on that bike cost more than my house!
It's not like there is any consequence to biffing anywhere along that course... Whew!
blood pressure pumped up..
30 years ago we rode the east side of Mary's Peak foot trail from the parking lot on un suspended mountain bikes.
Limiting factor on how fast you could go depended on keeping you hands on the bars to work the hand brakes.
My word, I took a dozen ambulance rides just watching that video! I'm impressed with the talent of that rider. Imagine horseing a bike down that course burdened with cajones the size of basketballs! dd
Warning ...m/c road gear head stuff..you might understand...
Zoob...full circle....me likey that full fairing, black and gold old school GSX'R..endurance bike..
