I thought it migt be a good idea to start a thread for those who stumble on good deals online but don't need any more airheads or airhead parts. So I'll kick it off with the first one and maybe this catches on.

    EDIT ........

Let's try a few rules to preserve the integrity of the ads.

    1) Include the title of the CL ad in your post.
    2) Include at least 1 picture from the CL ad.
    3) As most CL ads are fairly short, copy and paste the meat of the description but exclude any contact info of the ad owner.

    Nice hack conversion...

BMW Motorcycle with sidecar - $13500 (Bend)

This motorcycle with sidecar is a 1964 slash two BMW sidecar frame. The frame has been meticulously sand blasted and powder coated. It has been fitted with a later model rebuilt 1976 slash six 900 cc. motor with electric and kick start transmission.
Low profile 15 inch wheels with new tubes and tires are installed for lowering the entire rig. The gas tank is a large capacity slash 5 tank that has been relined and meticulously painted with aircraft polyurethane.
Fenders, sidecar and other miscellaneous parts have been professionally painted with aircraft polyurethane and clear coat. It has a thousand mile a day solo seat with extra padding for your comfort.
The mid-fifties Bender sidecar has been completely sand blasted and professionally refinished. The sidecar interior has high pile carpeting with padding and the seat recovered by a professional upholstery company. The back and seat are burgundy tuck and roll with padded armrests. The body and fender of the sidecar are enhanced with oak strips. The rebuilt sidecar suspension allows the sidecar to be independent of the frame for a very comfortable ride. This bike also has the original slash two wheels available. All electrical components are new/old stock. In the trunk of the sidecar is a high capacity marine battery. It has extra headlights and tail lights installed for increased safety.
All electric components including high output dyna coils are housed under the gas tank for easy access.

Please realize that this project took a year to complete by several certified professionals and the bike is in near concourse condition. Due to health and age issues this collection is being liquidated. If you are an interested party this bike can be shipped anywhere in the US and may only have to have adjusted according to rider and passenger weight.
Shipping arrangements can be made for any place in North America. Delivery arrangements possible.

It's too bad the ad isn't copied into this thread for future reference. The craigslist number will become inactive and the ad will be lost.

Great idea - added a few "rules" to preserve the ads in the posts. The rest is up to those who post.

I've been scouring the internet for a picture of a flared front fender on a pair of US forks, have never seen one until now. I thought I had a rare bird or maybe a 51/3 front fender, but the fiberglass flared fenders are repopped for like $150 from several makers. I ain't disappointed, they look freakin' cool even if I'll never make a buck on one.

The flared fender has been around for a long time. I think 30 years ago they were cheaper than a real fender, back when you could still buy a real fender.
