Sell / trade the paint booth to someone who will use it.

It's not period to your new digs and looks out of place.

Driving in tampa, and a guy decided to turn left from the right hand lane, while i was in the left lane, running into the side of my truck.
He then made 3 more bad decisions in a row.
    He decided to run
He thought his pos chevy could outrun a dodge.
He turned down a dead end road.
    :D
I blocked him in a parking lot, and now, dealing with cops, paperwok, etc.
Probably illegal, no license, but the truck belonged to his boss and seems to be insured.

    Sunday Funday!

Damn Doug! That sucks, but at least you corralled him until the PoPo could take over.

And back up to the old document from the new building. I grew up in Macon, GA in the 50s, 60s, and college nearby in the 70s. I grew up with "White Only" and "Colored Only" signs everywhere downtown. My primary care doctor was one of the few white doctors in Macon who saw black patients. And they had their own entrance out of public view.

My father was born in Pulaski, TN - look up its connection. He was suckled by a black woman when his mother couldn't. Couldn't understand why her little boy couldn't go to school with him when he started. During WWII voluntarily took on training all black troops at Camp Wheeler outside of Macon, GA my hometown. Later ran into some of the same in Europe. He was loved because he understood and horse traded things the blacks didn't like with all white companies for the things they did like. Coffees, foods, etc. But he still called blacks niggers all his life - nothing derogatory meant, just the cultural upbringing. In my own career I interacted often with the foremost black military historian while at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), Dr. Alan Gropman, USAF veteran. One of my very few regrets in life is never putting my father and Dr Gropman together for interviews.

My personal take: After my parents divorced when I finished 1st grade I got dragged pillar to post attending 2nd grade in Highlands, NC then Belton, TX then back to my home elementary school in Macon. People were beginning to piss and moan about upcoming desegregation. 3rd grade I started on base at Fort Hood, TX. Totally integrated. No big deal. Back to Macon after Christmas break and when my classmates stressed I told them "no big deal".

My high school years saw slow desegregation from 1965 - 1970. But here's the catch. White high schools were gender segregated and black high schools were coed. WTF? Only in Macon as far as I know. After I graduated in 1970, all barriers came down starting with the '70-'71 school year.

Having worked in the EEO field and having the personal background, I understand the black caucas demanding removal of Confederate statues. BUT... I am a whole hearted subscriber to the idea that those that choose to ignore/erase history are doomed to repeat it. Unfortunately we are in a period where political correctness is full steam ahead with revisionist history.

I sincerely hope this post, based on facts and not much opinion does not get this thread nor post launched into the Basement

    Illegal from Nicaragua. No license.
Of course the cops gave him a ticket for no license, but nothing for the hit and attempted run. They did enjoy that i caught him tho
Now i get to deal with the insurance company....

At least the truck seems to have insurance
You can settle stuff like this in florida on the spot if the at fault party wants to pay the damage. Less work for the cops, no paperwork. So the cop and the guys boss suggested it. I said it looked like about 5k damage to me.
He shut up then, and said his insurance would handle it.

The bodywork isnt that big of a deal, but then i have to drive back to oregon to have @Patrick46 redo the flames

He probably won't have insurance once they find out he is letting people drive his truck without a license...

Damn, what a PITA, but at least no injuries. To the Nicaraguan. :lol3 I tend to lose my shit when stuff like that happens.

Same crap happened to my sister in NC about 10 years ago. Truck full of Mexicans broadsided her near Kinston. They couldn't drive away, but some ran!
