I just finished enjoying your thread. Some questions, if you would indulge me. Your gearing, 14-42? Your camera ? Do you run the same air pressure all the
time? Moto z tire looks good, hows it working? I also have a DR650. I'd love to do some riding like you have shown in your thread, good job.

Gearing is 15-42. Camera could be Canon sxs 510 hs or a Canon Powershot point and shoot or the camera on my phone or gps, I do not like to rely on just one. Motozs are the best tires I have run on the dr for what I do.
Until they see you come around the corner of a wooded trail with a chainsaw, then most of them utter a lot of thanks.

Fair weather there, I was not so lucky up there yesterday.

The evening was windy and hazy, but the morning was windy, clear and crisp.

Table and Little Table mountain dominated the view to the west.

To the north west looking over the Tablelands at the gash the Gila river has carved through the Mescal and Dripping springs mountains.

This is Jeff's picture from the Gadsden photo thread, I believe these peaks are the same peaks I am looking at from very far away.

The view and solitude from this ridge were huge, so I decided to ride locally and spend another night here.

Rolling down off the ridge to get to the other side of the valley. Horse and Mescal peaks.

Ive been in this valley dozens of times over the years and have never had access to the "town site", I heard that access has temporarily been granted and had to find out for my self.
Driving up the road the ranges started to show themselves.
    The Terasas.

Table mountain, Mt. Lemmon peaking through the pass.

    Nice road so far.....

Gaining elevation, the view of the Catalinas is showing, Cathedral peak, Mt. Lemmon, and the start of Oracle ridge.

    Getting into the good stuff.

Back on the primary road I entered a limestone canyon, round a bend and see this.

Must have been a very bad day when this blow out occurred.

Just past the site the road pulls out of the canyon, immediately I see this and a lot more in a few hundred yards.

The road did not mess around gaining elevation. Here you can see the next snow patch and the site if you really look close in the bottom of the drain.

I had rolled right thru here earlier knowing I'd spend a bunch of time when I stop here.

Hand tooled limestone corners with lime mortar, obvious hard mortar over the soft stuff.

With the age of the stone structure I wonder if it is the original building here.

A much nicer day. Rolled over the pass down into the Gila valley.

Been over this road many times and never have seen this.

Resupply in Pima. I spoke with a local and he mentioned the mine expansion, I asked if that is what I saw he just shook his head. I crossed the river and headed east.

It was interesting to watch the dust, it would completely fade out then all of a sudden it would start, climax, then fade, repeat. Reminded me of Old Faithful.
