Did you offer him one?
What park? We're at Black Mo this weekend, no harassing rangers here.
I always put my cans in a Koozie(Or however you spell it).. Atmost of Parks the Rangers just don’t want to see it....
Cups. Not just for jocks.
Any chance you can make me a set?
I have the Kelty 12.
Pine grove furnace. I know better but hadn't gotten a cup out yet.
@Jeff B this is the sign we rode past two weeks ago. I knew the story but had forgotten about the sign being there.
We came down this weekend to see #1 daughter and to see Don McLean in concert
Pine Grove is a great park. I wish PA would get out of the dark ages and allow alcohol in the parks.

I like it the way it is. Like eddie said above, by being discrete and sensible, folks can and DO enjoy a cold beverage. Change that, state parks will be like private campgrounds....party parks. Loud, obnoxious places. And nobody around late at night to control things.
You call it the Dark Ages....I call it when people still had respect for others.
NY allows booze in camp grounds. People seem to respect one another.

Federal parks as well.
It's a good thing you weren't parked on the grass. I vividly remember when we were young watching my dad chew out a 20 something-year-old who was on an ego trip. The punk wanted to make my elderly grandparents walk from the overflow parking, just for an hour or so while we ate dinner.
Hill's Creek SP is a beautiful park, especially compared to the local privates and ACOE park that are all within a few minutes of each other, but it is rarely full. I don't think they sell out on holiday weekends either. The other parks are typically sold out a year in advance. If the wife is going to drag me out of our place nestled in seclusion, to sleep on the ground and share shitters with the common folk than I damn well better be allowed to have a beer around the fire.
I've been bitched at for having a tire on the grass in a state park campground before
we watched this ranger (young kid) at a federal park this year. he caught my neighbor 2x for being in the grass, than called law enforcement on him. all week this kid kept coming back over and over just to make sure the neighbor was not even 1" on the grass. same time there was what appeared to be under age people getting loud (drinking) behind us and young ranger would do nothing.
OH, and all week the other rangers would drive there truck across the yard and park in front of the bathroom, instead of parking in street and walking 100 yard board walk.
Those young punk rangers grow up to be Game Wardens.
Guardians can sell the assets and control the lives of senior citizens without their consent—and reap a profit from it.
Me too, at more than one park. I think there have been a lot of complaints because the rangers seem to be a lot nicer and less intrusive than before.
We were at Black Mo once, sitting at the picnic table chatting. It was after 9 so it was "quiet time". We had the radio on, but lower than the sound of our voices. Suddenly this flashlight comes on, shining in our eyes, and we hear "Park Ranger here". And were told we were not allowed to have our radio on. Then the dickhead walks to the campsite across the road and confronts those folks because it was "quiet time" and their young child was crying. Thankfully that asshole disappeared rather quickly.
Not my pic, just wanted to share.
That pic is badass. One in a million
The more I look at it the more I think it's fake.
