91 DR650 for sale, my go to commuter do everything ride. Job change and I can nearly walk to work now. Gonna ride the bicycle as much as I can. Originally bought this to ride cross country with a buddy from Holland later this year. We have way less time now so we're gonna stay more local and use my 230 Hondas instead. Go climb some goat trails and have some drafting wars on the highway

Any of you wanting to sell a beginner bike?
I'm looking to pick up a bike earmarked to a family member who wants to ride and is fresh out of the MSF...
Specifically I'm open any of these that's in good condition (even if not super pretty aesthetically)..
The obvious answer of course is: Craigslist, which I've done and will continue to do so. That said, I've already encountered like 7 different scams here in tampa bay. Yes, those princes from Nigeria and now, Uzbekistan (I'm not kidding), have apparently taken up motorcycling and have tried to sell me pristine CBR300's if only I could wire them 2000 dollars in the next 15 minutes.
I'm also not a super mechanically savvy about motorbikes beyond basic things unlike many of you. Hence buying from an inmate would certainly be preferable.
Trying to keep this purchase at about $2k if possible.
My buddy has a beautiful 250 Ninja for sale in Port St John, FL on the east coast. I can vouch for this bike and everything this guys owns. You could hop on this thing and ride anywhere you want.
Everything is completely stock. It was his wife's bike, she got ill and can't ride, and he has at least 7 or 8 of his own bikes.

"I love it when a plan comes together"
Match made in heaven. But seriously, that is a clean bike. Looks to be in perfect riding order and a great first bike.
A Ninja 250 was my very first big ADV bike, and bike with more than one cylinder. Oh the shenanigans...
There was a guy here in PAR country who used to ride his Ninja 250 all over Blackwater, bringing new meaning to the old axiom it ain’t the bike it’s the rider...
It would certainly be more nimble than a multi cylinder adventure barge.
Thanks for the referral!
That's a great looking motorcycle. Personally i love the yellow though I've got my work cut out convincing the designated recipient of as much
I need to figure out how to get the bike back here or obtain a ride there seeing as I don't have a truck....it's about, hmm, going to guess 3-3.5 hours away depending on I-4. Let's see if there's a greyhound or something that goes there.
P.S...it's the rider that makes the adventure, not the bike, right? :)
That yellow looks about three shades brighter in the pics than in person.
I live on the east side of Orange Co and regularly travel to Tampa on business. If you hit I-4 right it shouldn't take you much more than about two hours.
I just saw this. I've got a car and trailer in the Lake Nona area by the Orlando airport, the trailer needs to go to it's new home in Brooksville north of Tampa. I'll gladly haul it for gas money. It's a Ninja 250, I've owned and ridden a few of those.
I'm really flattered and thank you, Leon. I'll love to bring this home and make someone very happy.
I'll talk to the owner and work something out then make a plan with you if that's ok.
When you figure it out, send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org
Damnit. I was just driving all around that area yesterday, and could have hauled it. I did however stand in line for an excellent Deviled crab/Cuban sammich lunch though.
Side note- I bought a KLR from @pmooney a decade and some change ago- good guy to deal with :buzz
