:clap right on Rob. Hey, I have a Twinmax i am not using that i can make you a good deal on to sync the throttlebody.

I recommend this throttle lock if you don't have a Kaoko...

Much safer than a cramp buster.

In to help. I'll bring my Baja no pinch tool and my big levers with the bead breaker.

So.....If the Flt connections work .....I get into Spokane around 10am I should be able to head for Enterprise by 11:30ish. Not sure how long the honey do list on the bike will take....I don't want to take away anyone's riding time... but getting the bike pulled together is really appreciated.

I wouldn't put K60's up my ass if I had room for a steam locomotive.
Just wait 'til you get a flat out onna 'middle of nowhere' road somewhere.
give me a tire that a human can change/fix beside the road.

Peter has a good point. I was there on the trail with three of us jumping on the tire to try to break the bead. That was not fun at all and the kick stand trick did not work.
On the GS I enjoyed the Anakee. Good in the rain and fine for gravel. Lasted longer than a TKC80, but the TKC 80 is my favorite tire. That said you might need 2 or 3 to get you home if you ride them like I do.

Whatever you decide for tires, order them from the shop in Enterprise, Outlaw Motorsports. 541-426-3491. Ask for Dustin and tell him Ray said to give you my 10% off coupon. Order your tires. We can pick them up or they can be dropped off or delivered to the Log Cabin RV Park. It is just down the hill from camp.
This is one of the best shops I have had the privilege to work with. They are worth your business and I try to give them all the support that I can.

I will put the tire order through outlaw thx for the heads up. Not married to the K60 I've had a set on my Versys 650 for 3 seasons now and they would see me through this season also. I understand about the difficult tire change.

I'm a little stuck on what to put on out there.... I expect 90% of my return will be highway and probably run up 4k or better in mileage. I have PR 4 on my KRS and have taken it down a fair number of dirt and gravel roads.

    I may just order 705's

Looking forward to getting out there.

I love the value of the Shinko's.
I have run off a couple sets of the 805's. The 705's should last longer for your trip.
They are a lot easier to change than the K60.

For our area....spring is mud season we have tons of dirt rds and I've found the big block dual sport tires slip way more than tires like the K60 I've run Mefo Explorers and would be ready to try a set of Mitas E 7 at some point, I run Kenda Track Master on my DRZ.

I didn't plan on any serious off road with the 1150......Im maybe 2 yrs out from knee replacement and I still ski as much as I can. So somewhat causious at this pt.

    I'll chime in here.

General advice for a trip like this: less is more. You wont need nearly as much stuff as you think you do. Worst case, you can always stop somewhere along the way to pick up what you're missing.

My first long distance trip included packing the panniers and top box to the brim. Was a pain to try and find anything, to repack it all every morning, and then on top of that, I only used 50% of what I brought.
