We had 150 registered riders in 2017 and a total number of people (riders, sponsors, vendors, emergency crew, staff, etc.) of nearly 200.
    Here are some photos.

Guessing I could put the bike in the back of the truck an trek up to the event and camp on site. Have a six day adventure ride in Iceland the end of July that puts me back home August 3rd so the dates are doable.

Camping is in the rally fee and there’s lots of space to park your truck. We’d love to have you join us!

Sign up and go. Trailered two bikes from Vermont (9 hour drive) and loved it. Great site, great people, great riding. Can't wait to go back!

The XR Valdez and team Running on Empty is determined to finish this year...

If the stars align and I get a passport in time I might be there.

There's every variety or dualsport you can imagine, from 250's up to BMW 1200's and everything in between.

If you're new to offroad riding, consider the A or B routes.

As Jake said, there are lots of route options available for those with different skills and bikes. We'll get WR250R's and KTM 1290s at the rally, and everything in between.
We have had riders as far away as BC and Alberta at the rally. Last year there were about 20 Ontario riders so you'll be in good company.

We have a Facebook "find a team page" https://www.facebook.com/groups/1731249213833500/
Don't let not having a team prevent you from signing up. Every year we're making teams the day before. Someone's teammate can't attend for X reason and we're blending that rider in with another similarly skilled group. You'll make lifetime friends at events like this!

Team Running on Empty might be short a rider. Register and PM me; this is a well run rally at a great venue. We did the harder, "C" routes last year and they were challenging but not impossible. My teammate and I on 650s (XR650L and BMW G650 XChallenge) were keeping up with the smaller bikes because we all had to pause at some of the more difficult water crossings, hills, etc. Bring the big bike well prepped for off-road duty and you'll have a great time.
