Happy New Year!
And a Happy New Year to you and yours!
Didn't see it in this thread...any of you do breakfast runs to Gronsky's Milk House in High Bridge?
Love sitting at the bar and just watching the waffle batter drip messily off the irons and seeing the amount the butter the potatoes sit in on the griddle.
Never saw bigger pancakes than are made there. And the "theme" ones are pretty creative.
It's only money- with the correct link.
Anyone following the Dakar Rally? Yesterday's sand dunes were RIDICULOUS!
The Hondas are doing pretty well. Bikes are looking sweet. Sort of like my little rally bike!
It's on my DVR. I'm a couple days behind.
Mindless dickery...but fascinating.
The Guardian today had some pictures from days 1 to 7 of the Dakar Rally here. I like this one:
50 degrees forecasted for Sunday.
Well, if there is no snow between now and the weekend (i.e., no SALT), I'd be up for a big bike ride down to Pic-A-Lilli's for some wings.
Will have to be back before 4, though. Got to watch the Eagles game. GO EAGLES!
At least the mud wasn't deep.
I have been watching Dakar and SX. Its a shame they only cover 1/2 worth of it, at random times. I think the bike Dakar stuff should be an hour alone. I am catching up on the DVR too.
SX was awesome this weekend.
I was out in the woods on the bicycle this afternoon. Pretty nice. Felt good to be out in the woods again. Dakar this year has been fantastic. Cant ever remember the early stages being so difficult.
Those dunes stages are rough. Never seen hills that all four classes have trouble making it up. Early stages had them.
RIP Raceway Park (drag strip) :-(
John, Great to hear! Sounds like the new parts are working good.
Thanks Mike but I dont have the new parts just yet. Total left hip replacement scheduled for mid MArch.
I was thinking Wow, that was a fast recovery . Hoping it is!
Went skiing today with my buddy Harry (and vtwinp and Tim), and between us we had 3 titanium and plastic knees. Good luck with your hip replacement! You will be pretty happy when you are pain-free again.
Dakar was a little disappointing the past two days. A stage cancelation for the bikes, and a knee injury for Barreda that took out the leading Honda. Still have a chance for a 2nd place in between the KTMs.
Nice bike, though:
