nice, mileage wise, just broke in.. take it into a BMW shop to check out if all he recalls were done,, On my 08 gsa there was a few like cracks around the top of the fuel module, faulty rear wheel flange replaced, and front brake lines.

put your vin in here to see if they apply https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2009/BMW/R%25201200%2520GS#recalls

and then be aware if you have the fuel strip / fuel indicator,, the warranty on these goes for 12 years from manufacture , so in your case is thru 2021. some people have had theirs replaced multiple times at no cost, no consensus on what causes this,, i strongly believe it is ethanol gas combined with other factors.

If you want to talk GS improvements locally give Tony a call at cyclenutz.com he is in Waukesha, is a long time GS guy. and is owner of cyclenutz.com ,, i know him from when i belonged to the Wisconsin MOA club. 262-2WE-NUTZ (293-6889)

    happy riding!

I just ordered my Black Dog skid plate. Reguardless of price, it seems the best design out there. Oil change using Redline 20/50 will be done when swapping OE skid plate for the Black Dog.

Usually no feedback means nothing adverse to mention... it’s when something goes wrong, the “feedback” pours in. I know I will enjoy the benefits of your product, and will pry myself away from my adventures to report how well it performs.

Not a big ticket item, but should keep the engine a little cleaner. It a Maier front fender extender. I used both the screws and some Goop to attach it to the stock front fender. 16EBD137-A138-4C71-9BEB-E5F931ED375D.jpeg

I do a lot of 2 up riding and my GF and I love to camp. While a rear box is ultra Convenient, it doesn’t hold our camping gear, tent, bags, pads and pillows. I’m looking for feedback on rear racks that would support an Ortlieb duffle. The duffle also acts as a lower back support for the GF. One concern with the stock rear rack is it doesn’t have the support area, attachment points and is plastic. I’ve looked around, but haven’t found really what I’m looking for with this era bike. Thanks. image.jpg image.jpg

    Woof, woof, woof...

That’s the sound of a big dog, a big Black Dog, skid plate that is. It mounted up beautifully with minimum contortions required by the installer. The thing is top notch, anything else would be like wearing a condom with a big hole in the end of it. Second photo original BMW on right, Black Dog on left...

Now just waiting for my front brake discs so I can mount my wire wheels.
