If you find yourself in the old town part of Buckeye, Arizona, I recommend:
The Sheep Camp

Buckeye, AZ 85326
Southern style home cooking.
Good food at a good price.
It's fairly easy to miss if you don't know where it is.
It's near the apex of a curve right next to a Circle K convenience store.
Funny, I just read the reviews in the link above.
Some moran said that they only do breakfast. I suppose that might be true if you're in there before 9:00AM.
I really do recommend this place. I love eating here and my cardiologist hates it for obvious reasons but still eats there.
That should tell you how good it is.
LONG LIVE FRIED FOOD!
even if I don't...
I'll let you know. Just got here and ordered.
McDonalds at Anytown with prices from $1.
Uh-Oh, now I'm nervous that you won't like it!
Well, a couple of years ago mother nature decided my body should fight with my pancreas, so the italian food was out because of the carbs. I had a burger for dinner last night, and a burger with a fried egg for breakfast, so burgers were out. My wife and I both went with the chicken noodle soup (homemade, yay!) and grilled cheese. I know, we're boring, but it was a good lunch, and cheap, 15 bucks including 20% tip for both. We'll stop there for lunch again when we find ourselves in the area. And a bonus, I saw that the Johnstown flood memorial was really close, so we visited that too, first time we had been there. So thanks again, we had a great ride!
Oh, the boring food pic.
Since I was talking about a cheap lunch, I have to mention the Chat and Chew in McCoole MD. Wife and I would each get a bowl of chili and a grilled cheese and the bill was 8 bucks! It's right on 220 before you get into WV. No pic, but I think you know what you're getting!
You're welcome. Glad you had a good time at the memorial and enjoyed the lunch! Now I want chicken noodle soup.
Did you happen to run 869 or 164 heading back towards home? Either is a good road if you're in the area!
We took 869, 867, 866.
Conway, SC, USA - downtown off 501 business on the Waccamaw River waterfront.
Authentic fresh tacos and burritos with some great pit cooked pulled pork, chicken, and ribs. I had the street corn taco and smoked potato salad with tea for $11.
$10-15 for a lunch. $15-25 for a heavy lunch or dinner.
Rita's has a great app menu. I'd make a meal out of the first four items!
You eat enough of anything, it's a meal. P
Reading the posts so far makes me realize I need to travel more and eat less...
