Interesting. Just saw this on FB and was wondering if it was real. Not sure if I’d be interested in it, but I know when I shopped and bought my GS, I would have considered it if it’s based on the sportster/evo drive train. The things I would take pause on are weight, cost, and HDs track record with early adopters.

I'm legitimately surprised and interested. The streetfighter and street tracker models both looks good as well. Hopefully it's not too little too late.

The ADV version like nearly all the ADV versions from all the manufacturers looks like it was hit with the ugly stick. Add mud to pretty it up .

If you squint it resembles a ‘59 Fairlane. :lol3

I actually kinda like it because it’s different. Really surprised by the spokes and the suspension layout. Hope they can keep the mass somewhat reasonable, and can keep the chain-drive.

The bike itself notwithstanding, it’s biggest enemy could be it’s own dealer network.

Looks like HD and Indian will both have ADV bikes in the future.

Those headlight look is direct from one of their cruisers and kinda fugly.

    The rest looks good.

I spent time as the sales manager of a HD/Suz/KTM shop in my career. I fought that mentality daily. Problem is, I also fought it with The Motor Company when it came to Buell, too. Zero support from the top down on anything that wasn’t a Bar & Shield Big Twin. Even Sportsters were hard to get support for at times.

If they want these new models to save their ass they need their dealers onboard, and that starts at the top.

I have to chuckle, I speculated they trademarked the "Pan America" moniker,
to market a hipster Sportster scrambler.

    WRONG. :lol3

Sitting on their hands, NOT. :thumbup

IMHO......I don't think this will be a good route for H-D. However, you can't knock them for trying to enter the Adventure market. I don't see the "Pan America" making any ground breaking head way or even a dent in the Adventure world. Unless they've hired some experienced Engineers / talent already in the industry from BMW, KTM, etc., using some of the technology know how already used today, I give it 2 years before they raise the FLAG and exit.

Then again... it will probably appeal to the STARBUCKS crowd that want to now park in front of the biker bar with his H-D Adventure bike sporting knobbies :lol3.

Oh boy... can you see it? HARLEY DAVIDSON Klim adventure gear!!! :fpalm

I'm betting this bike will be Stelvio or VFR1200X heavy.
