Looks like any other generic ADV bike just that darn fairing is so out of place.
Anyone with photoshop skills want to put a rally fairing on it!?
I don't mind the aesthetics of it.
But it looks heavy, without much ground clearance, and protective armor that seems more farkle than usable.
Still, it would be a better Harley on modern roads than anything else in their lineup, even if it is just used for bar hopping.
The adventure would be just riding it in the first place. Like the bmw 1200 GS, it's a behemoth which makes an adventure bike, not.
My RS would go anywhere the above could, and look cool.
It would be a welcome relief to finally see modern Harley engine. The fairing is dorky. But worst of all: where is the center stand? An adventure bike without a center stand is stupid. I have had two tire issues in remote locations on my GSA and without a center stand it would have been a nightmare.
As for the modern GS, it is large, but amazingly agile when underway. Ripping up the Dalton highway on it was a blast and my RS would have not been up to that.
I am sure it will be a perfectly good mile muncher on tarmacked roads and a few hardly souls might bounce along the pot holed roads of Central or South America on one but if anyone wants to cross the Sahara desert or take on the Aussie outback using this bike they better have a good support team to help them pick it up or dig it out of the sand.
Reminds me of the Triumph / BSA, Fury / Bandit final ditch efforts just before they went under. I smell a bailout or some high import tariff like in '83.

To me, the more interesting concept bikes from H-D are the smaller electric ones:
Mostly that one in the top right -- I know it is just a drawing and not road-legal as shown there, but it looks cool and it is small enough that I can image fixie-riding hipsters getting excited about it. Someone who is "not into motorcycles" might be into that, especially if they did put a light on it. The "tracker" here just looks like another motorcycle, and the ones on the bottom are just too ugly. Same with the "adventure" Harley -- why bother when everyone else is doing something similar or better? But that top right bike could really expand the brand if it is done right.
I got to toss a leg over the Livewire a few years back....it was interesting. Way too heavy and large for an E bike.....but it's an HD so what do you expect??
Either it never crossed the HD engineer's or marketing team's minds or their marketing tests with HD riders determined most wouldn't ever use it or know what it was...
Good for them.
Harley is an iconic brand, taking a step in this direction is smart. If it works, is still very much TBD.
Can't imagine a scenario where this or any other new/modern bike would end up in my garage, though.
Bottom right ebike almost looks like a bicycle. The adventure bikes fairing looks like a road glide. I’ve got a friend who’s an electrical engineer at HD but he’s not saying much.
Not almost. It has pedals and I’ve never seen a motorcycle with derailleur gears before.
For people who wear chaps and use ‘get back’ whips, this is not the kind of “adventure” they’re looking for...
I built an ebike.
Fun very fast. The biggest problem is traction for braking.
Message to the OP........................lt's been discussed at length...................It's a non starter!..............Get over it & try to become popular by another method!!!
