Luke has surfaced and apparently is allot more normal than anyone thought ! Wanting time off from this nonsense !

It's turning out almost as I had joked Remus and used Staintune both arriving next week :fpalm a good exhaust system and a spare. How do you spell cooompulsive disorder ?
There lies the trouble with this old stuff (obsolete) and the stock K11-12 exhaust systems where prone to cracking :fpalm

I think I'll Jet-Hot the Remus and proceed as though everything may work out just fine.

Ordered a fat bike ,Surly Wednesday, I started riding my old Bridgestone MB1 and immediately noticed an improvement in my ability to walk up hill.
Justin's needing more rest as he ages and I need more work so I guess he can stay home a bit more. Onward

More interesting news there will be another r1150gs based rig on the market,
    Ed Miller called me yesterday.
It's a 03 R1150gs sport no abs,Dedome style trail reduction with one of Strokers old Urals, 3 of Strokers 15" wheels and a freshly installed just overhauled GSA transmission and new clutch,33/11 final drive. It's high mileage but well loved.

Are you sure you don’t want car tires on the new Surly?

You should use a set of these: Achilles ATR-K ECONOMIST All-Season Radial Tire - 175/55-17 88V..........
They are the universal tire and will fit everything.

I rarely laugh out loud at anything, and certainly not at anything on the internet, but now I have some milk mixed with snot I gotta go clean up. That was definitely a multi-layered comment.

Onward and Forward ! Remus turned up and it's really interesting ! Probably a TUV muffler not a racing pipe!
Much heavily made than stock or Staintune, the long collector is not really a collector it turns into a hard packed muffler the collectors about 1/4 of it.

Its a hard packed about the same ID of Staintunes collector.

In the mufflers there's an expansion chamber then the back third of the muffler that looks like a conventional straight thru can. It must be a TUV deal.
Should be pretty quiet as the K's aren't real noisy anyway.

For comparison, if I got out the tape measure I think overall length is about the same the diameter on Staintune collector is smaller, but the path thru the muffler about the same ID, outlet area about the same Remus used 3 outlets (reminiscent of Dunstall Norton silencers) Staintune one.
The header is off to Jet-Hot rather than local this go around.

I like the idea of RED! Cmon Dave you can pull it off. Back in my dirt bike racing days all my "friends" accused me of parade lapping before the race in my clean gear and clean bike (that didn't last long in the mud and crud). You can parade lap and I for one will cheer you on! :rilla

It's probably going to be flat black as your always right in black and white. Another Staintune arriving tomorrow, I think I'm going to keep it as it allegedly only has a few miles on it and looks pretty nice.
Do you want the broken one ? The price will be right the cost of shipping you can try and build a system for the K1200lt.
    When I go it
    [IMG]
I should have inspected it more.

It's current condition ceramic coated I could get it welded as I'll have another to align it, the three other pipes have slip joints, the real issue would of course be hanging the muffler.

Wow I try and give away an exhaust system and no replies !
Justin continues to live but the yesterday his Vet wasn't so sure he'll make the next season. We're adjusting his meds but congestive heart failure is a bitch and the final end to dogs with a heart murmur.
If the little guy doesn't make it there maybe a sidecar for sale, I could live without one, riding my single most of last reminded me I still enjoy them.

This arrived yesterday also, I'm probably going to keep it but the Remus's are much more modern a build.
I'd give the broken black one to a good home for the shipping if I don't have to fix it. You too Luke if you want it, though we may have to split the shipping.

I’ve owned a dog since I can’t remember. But 5years ago my two dogs both died within a week of each other and I found myself dog less for a year while I waited for the right breeding to happen. SWMBO and I rode a lot that year. Now I have Woody, and sidecars. It’s a compromise.

Hopefully the medication adjustment will make life for Justin better for a while longer. Living without a sidecar isn't the worst thing that could happen but living without a dog comes close. When Justin is finally gone getting another dog is probably not something high on your list of things to do. The sooner that happens the better. Won't be the same dog you lost but given a good environment all dogs are pretty special.
