534.jpg Hello all, I'll throw this out there, hopefully find someone in my area that might have the same idea. I'm in the start of making plans to ride Austrailia. What I'm planning is to rent dual sports over there ( B'mer's would be good ) and ride a portion of the coast. Riding is great, but no need to bust any distance records. Figure to leave time for some fishing, beers, good eat'n, motel stay's and some good times with the locals. I've been riding since Malcom Smith was a novice, (I'm 57). I live in and ride the desert S.W. of the U.S. frequently.
With no further adoo, looking for a no B.S. interested party, with the $ means to do a trip like this. Person would have to live in the Tucson, PHX. area to be able to pour over the maps and make plans in real time.
Would be glad to hear back, and anybody that cares to share a good stretch 200Km or so with the above stuff goin on would be appreciated. RIDE ON ! 534.jpg 534.jpg

HI Ya Aeroperro. when you hit Aus give me a shout I'm up in Qld definitely do some roads with you. I'm restricted to black top at the moment but plenty of reasonable good roads and pubs along the way waiting to be explored......

    Hi Mate.
No problems most riding done ATM is on the FJR so the Husky 610 is currently unregistered, I keep it for use on private lands or events (enduro riding events), the cost of keeping multiple bikes with licence here in Aussie is quite expensive over $300 Pa plus each.
I am looking at selling both and investing into a 1290 SA and getting back to the more offroad touring. Who knows by the timer you get to this part of the world it may have eventuated, but until then the FJR keeps the thirst for touring quenched

Yeah, it is always good to keep the horizon in sight. I look forward to the day I ride any part of the coast there. Work'n on it, might take a bit for me to get that trip going. Seems that a lot of my local bunch of riders all got their own ideas of where they want to ride, time will tell. MD.

    Sounds good!
I have no schedule yet, I tossed my ad out to see if any of my local riders might see it and want to go out that way. Ya never know...
If I end up getting my act together in time, I'll get back in touch, and catch up over there. Thank's for the offer, and have a good one. Ride On!

I gotta ask though how your basic planning goes. You just riding no real itinerary ?
