Well im about to officially go on the coldest ride in my 52 years of riding. 2018 Polar Bear Ride at Leatherwoods Cycle. Normally ride Downtown from there to watch the Ski Freeze but it was SMARTLY cancelled last night. Leatherwoods will be serving breakfast from 9-11. Curious to see just how many brave souls (DUMBASSAS) show up for this shindig. :yikes

On the list of dumb things ive done this one ranks pretty high. It was 10 degrees when i left the house with snow flurries. Defiantly the coldest day ive ever ridden. I stayed remarkably warm do to the forty eleven dozen layers of clothing and my electric gloves. Started the New Year off right ! 2018 ride 1.jpg 2018 ride 2.jpg

Apparently you forgot to tell Rub'n where all the dumbasses were meeting. He sent me a pic from the forest store

Just started riding again after almost 20 years. Picked up a 2015 KLR and love this bike. I’m an idiot for not riding adv all these years. I’m a memphis native (whitehaven) but I need a twent-year update on where to ride...if you guys wouldn’t mind a another KLR tagging along sometime.

Street ok. Off road way mo better.
I don’t really care where. Just love riding.

Welcome to the addiction! Lol I only know of a couple of off-road places around here but I’ll gladly show them to you. There a few more local guys here that are very friendly and know the area very well. Hopefully we can find some great trails to ride on. Now where is that nice southern weather?!? Lol

Welcome! If you ride with Snakes, don't leave your bike unattended too long or it will be sticker-bombed
Look what he did to this kids 80 living up the street. Kid goes in to watch some cartoons, and Bam, a baby KiLeR

Copy that. Noted. That 80 is beautifully done. Although I haven’t started stickering up my KLR yet, I’m never opposed to some thoughtful adhesive artwork. I’ve ordered about 800 aftermarket parts (feels like it) for this thing and every little package comes with some stickers...I’m saving them all in my tank bag....I know the day is soon coming when I get fired up and it all ends with a pile of wax paper adhesive backing strips on the floor...

BTW, is that shot from mound city road in west memphis ? Used to ride an old 4x4 there in high school.....

There are a lot of fun roads around Macon Rd heading out into Fayette county. Hard to get lost out there since you can find your way back to civilization by going either north or south.

I've been mostly street riding, my life in Memphis, but I picked up a KTM 950 Adv that I'm itching to get offroad. Let me know if you want to go exploring (when it gets warmer).

Absolutely. I do have one friend that is a serious dirt rider, he's promised to show me around a little as well. I guess SDRA/MS is a good pace to start...I have several buddies that regularly rider there.

I will holler when I get my stuff straight and make it happen. I'm getting really damn tired of riding around my neighborhood and my backyard...and to Kroger. But I do it.
