Hey, I finally got the old KLR put back together, might be able to tag along in Oct.
I would be happy to lead a more dirty ride this weekend if there is interest, and of coarse beer for the masses as desired.
I am bringing the KLX and will join you on the dirty ride. I may drink a beer too.
I'm in. I'll most likely be riding the DR650, leaving Grand Haven late morning.
Canceling the Camp & Street ADV Ride because of rain forecast for Friday & Saturday.
May postpone to weekend of Oct 13-15 if weather is decent.
The dirt boys are still riding.
I’m in, Going to bring my dirt bike.

Bring it if you are not afraid, the weather will not be as bad as predicted.
Dirt riders ain't scared of a little rain. I'm still in.
Have a great weekend and post up some pics! Looks like the weather is going to be nice and warm
The weather wasn't too bad and Clebner was a great guide as usual. We rode Friday and Saturday and spent a little time at Lake Ann Brewing Company. And Rob, we didn't lose any helmets .
Not losing any helmets is always a good thing!
We need the inside scoop on this one.
When I originally came to this location, I parked and placed my helmet a little to close to the edge....When I went to move my bike, my foot accidentally grazed the helmet, and it started to roll. Not even a big kick, just a slight brush and the helmet never stopped rolling It was sad, but a little entertaining to watch as well.
My helmet went from where my bike is, all the way down to the bottom of that valley of trees.....
OOPS! Did you ever bother to go and try to find it? Could be a fun challenge.
I'm thinking it will be this coming spring when a recovery attempt is put into action. That area is called the indian peaks, and its all wilderness unfortunately so I'd have to get in there on foot. It's going to be a long recovery, all day minimum. The trail that I'm on used to be the original route to the west from Denver via locomotive until the construction of the Moffat Tunnel in 1927, and is a site of on-going controversy ever since "parts" of the route were shutdown in the 60's to ohv use.
I figured it would be on foot, but I know you're a hiker also. Hope it wasn't the Rossi replica sunburst lid ya tossed down there.
Luckily it wasn't the Rossi, or the Hayden. It was an old KBC that was retired a few years back. Still kind of a bummer, I'd been saving all my old helmets since I was 15 with the intention of mounting them all in the garage on display. Thought it would be cool But now after losing the kbc that makes 3 that are missing..... so that idea might be nixxed. The KBC, an old Bieffe Capirossi replica and an old Arai Schwantz replica are nowhere to be found. I still have all my old gloves though from the past 17yrs of street riding so it's not to bad, including a pair of Nicky Hayden pro models from his rookie years. Kind of weird things to save
