I have the standard casing coming Mid March. The Dakar was not made yet when our box was packed.

The 110/80-19 E-07 PLUS has been pushed back to late summer. Testing is starting shortly but NOT production.

Are there any other threads reporting on durability? i.e. has anyone ridden far enough to wear a set of these out yet and reported on it elsewhere? If so, how many miles and under what conditions? I'm looking for a pair of tires to go ~6500 miles through Canada and Alaska on my 1290SA-T in June this year.

I'm also heading up to Alaska in June. I live in SoCal but will be shipping the bike to / from Spokane so we can ride from there. We anticipate 6500 - 7000 miles for our ride. Based mainly on the reviews, I've been planning on putting on a fresh set of Mitas E-07 Dakars for the trip (110/90-19 / 150/70-19). I'm now wondering how the Dakars compare to the new E-07 "Plus" in terms of longevity, handling, etc. If the new Plus version is available for both my front and rear, which is advisable?

I'm unclear of whether the new Plus is slated to replace the Dakars.

The PLUS line will become the main tire in the E-07 line. It will be come available in both standard and Dakar in most but not all sizes.

    Still confused...

I thought the "Plus" tire was built for the big and heavy ADV bikes, and already had the heavy sidewall like the previous "Dakar". Can you please clarify?

The PLUS in the 170/60-17 and 120/70-19 will NOT be in Dakar - only standard. In other parts of the line the PLUS tires will be made in Dakar.

fe - you will see a 150/70-17 PLUS and a 150/70-17 PLUS Dakar.

Motorace, Just ordered a set... need them by the 24th of March.... hopefully no weather delays or anything on the shipping.
Looking forward to these tires... had a set on a different bike and liked them very much.
    Thanks!

Anyone have enough experience with these to recommend tire pressures?

What's the reason why the 170/60-17 wont be in dakar, yet the others are?

    TIA

If you read back, you’ll see that the large size is an entirely new tire - one that transcends the need for a separate heavy duty Dakar veraion

If you read back you will see that they are also doing the 150 in the entirely new tyre and also in the Dakar version. So if the new tyre does transcend in the 170, why not in the 150?
