No bike in the pic, but this is when I blew the horn at her. Rode about 4-500 yards behind her as she tried to find a way off the trail.
I "caught" this guy on the way to work yesterday at 60 mph. Thought it was a just a hit (feathers flew), but after I gathered myself after the contact I looked down and there he was along for the ride. When I got to a point I could pull over (tailgated by a tanker truck), I stopped and got some help to get him out. He was pissed and very, very alive. Got him out with a broom handle. He got in a fighting stance, and after a few minutes he flew away like it was no big deal. Amazing. I'm very lucky.
Speaking of Moose...
I didn't get the bike in the picture either. The video shows the bike and the moose much better.
I took this near Jasper, AB a couple of weeks ago:
Walked up on me at my campsite in Anchorage, AK...
I remember when you posted that! I was on the road to Alaska and reading your report as I progressed. I'm sorry about the way your trip ended and look forward to reading about your next ride up there.
I saw your other pics over Atigun Pass, very nice Mike....
I'm waiting on the bike to get repaired and I'll be back at it again in late August maybe early September. At least I'm missing all the forest fires in BC...
