The two top motorcycle myths I hear are motorcycles stop faster than cars (not true) and that its left hand turning cars that are killing us on the streets (also not true). There are so many out there... what are the myths you have heard or things you have heard that you don't know if its true?

So you should get trained by the f**ktards that trained the n00b in the vid? These training schools are starting to piss me off with their attitudes.

I'm wondering is that a fake n00b, or is the methodology reasonable?

The underlying message is actually pretty sounder. I don't care what wheels you are on, 18, 6, 4, 3, 2, or 1. Being aware of of one's ability to stop is always good.

In traffic, I trend below posted limit unless I have so.e left tuner protection. In traffic the acceleration advantage of one's motorcycle becomes a liability.

In traffic speed is not your friend.

Not to mention the pompousness of the ''instructors''. Ever talk to one of those boobs on here ? Like they say ''Those who can't do , teach''.

It is reference to using a measurement equal to the force of gravity. What most riders don't realize is how poorly the average rider stops. In a seven year project testing experienced riders on their own motorcycles during the riding season not one single rider matched what we could present in a one stop target using a rental car.

The perfect score for current training in the United States is .63, the average experienced rider is around .7 G

For anyone wanting to get technical... yes I know it is really a negative G

I hate to agree as I make my living training riders but it does seem far to many (if not most) "instructors" are poorly educated past whatever they teach. I would even go as far as to say many of the things taught to beginners if not evolved can actually make a rider more dangerous. Ever heard this one "never use your brakes in a corner". There is one more Myth perpetuated among riders.

I like the old(er) guys who proudly proclaim that because they have been riding for so long, that there is nothing for them to learn......a variation on that is when they show up for a class, and the instructor allegedly tells them that since they have been riding for so long, that anything he may try to teach them would probably only put them into more danger because of trying to change things.

in 2016 there were several bikes that could not be beat by the testers. ABS has come a long way.

Myth: I don't want ABS because I want to have full control of my motorcycle
