Hi fella's, have you done the Barraba trail from just outside of Barraba to the pinnacle of Mt Kaputar? lt's a good run, you pay a deposit on a key to a locked gate!! : )

    if it where me :D

instead of going into Barraba id possibly look to skirt round to Bingara ? like this

Nice 2up roads through here (Dirt more so than Tar, sometimes a little marbley but otherwise nice roads for riding) , the other way is also really nice, just depends on time and inclanation id say..

When are you coming through ?

Is this the road / track that goes through Plumthorpe / Allans Mine (according to HEMA map)? If so, is it suitable for big pig or is it enduro terrain? I understand track conditions can change over time, but in general, any observations as to the track would be appreciated.

Hi Gelanderoadie, 2 of us went through on ktm 640's with gear for 3 day's staying at pubs last year!! 2 wheel drive dirt roads down to twin track farm roads with a couple of "' little bit slippery uphill sections" , fun on 640's and l would say do able on any big pig! You need the key for the gate, you pick the key up at either Barraba (the way we went) or Narrabri visitors centre, $25 deposit refunded on return! Trevallyn Rd out of Barraba, onto Mt Lindesay road, barrabra track, up to the top and gravel road down to Narrabri!!! An awesome run that l will do again for sure!!! : )

I hope to organise a day loop for a few of us "Edge of the NW badlands Moree riders" across through Terry Hie Hie onto Barraba for lunch (hopefully a couple of other riders to join in at Barraba), then to Maules Ck via (Spion Kopp road) & return to Moree some time in September.
