fotofastphil, is this still your plan?
Am I right in thinking that there be no fuel stops between Lyndhurst and Innaminka, meaning a need for 500 km fuel range?
I'm thinking to tag along with you for a while after Mt Dare, and take right turn to Cameron Corner and Tibboburra.

    Cheers
    Brian

You might wanna check the BP at Lyndhurst...it was shut down when i was there earlier this year...i had to travel to Leigh Creek for fuel. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal (the extra km) but if i wasn't carrying extra fuel in a bladder when travelling from Innaminka to Lyndhurst i would have been pushing the bike the last 40km (just sayin').

Lyndhurst was open last week on the way to Farina.
They have a credit card system now.

Is it being held at the pub, or near it ?

Can I suggest updating details like this in first post page 1 or in the title ? Saves searching every page ?

Glad I bought a new sleeping sac :1drink

Bramwell was 2012'; Lorella was 2008; Drysdale was 2014; Seisa might be a bit to "civilised" ( yeah, yeah I know) Hells Gate would be an option, was going to be the spot in 2008 but closed down before hand& we went to Lorella ( well those that made it through the sand did)

Hells Gate would be a good destination, if it remains open that is. If it closed between now and 2020 Adela is a fallback or even Gregory Downes Pub. Tar or dirt to it and brilliant camping on the river

There is a lot of tar out Gregory Downes/Adels way with the mine operating. From Burke & Wills to Gregory is now all tar, has been for~8 years... I'd think the tar will be all the way to the mine by now. I expect the place to be over run with others, so it may not be the best place for a gathering.

As for warm ... well I've had snow on the way west at that time of year ... the 'Blue' Mountains can be very blue indeed! :vardy

There is dirt from the south or west to get to Gregory

I'm with you there rossguzzi, mine came via Aussie Post today!
The old "zero" rated bag leaves me cold when it gets down into single figures, so I bought a -7 rated bag which I'm hoping will be good down to 1 or 2 degrees.

Next is a fuel bladder, must do that soon too.

    Cheers

For those that paid for a 2016 OCR Mungenanie badge but failed to receive one, for various reasons, or would like to buy one(remembering that every dollar received will be given to the RFDS), there will be some, I believe 20+, available at Mt Dare this year.

Ron Ward aka RTO who handled the badges for 2016, cannot make this year's Mt Dare, and has asked me to take the excess badges there.
Ron will post down to me the badges and list in the next few days, so if anyone thinks they have not received their badge, contact me, best is to text me on 0427358549, (I'm an infrequent poster on ADV nowadays)
Otherwise buy a badge (2016 that is) from me at Mt Dare

    Cheers

    Chris

You mean Ron Durkin aka RTO.

Please don't suggest he's related to me...
