Damn. Ditch donkeys scare the shit out of me. I hope you did not get hurt too bad.
That sign is why I couldn't see the deer. She was at full a speed run when she came out from behind that sign.
I don't feel too bad this morning. Foot is ok just a little purple. My chiropractor is next door to work and he has reset my pelvis quite a few times. He can slick me up tomorrow morning. I'm glad I had my boots and knee braces on. My lower leg took a hard hit between the frame and the deer. I think all the metal hinges in my knee braces saved me a broken leg.
Good call on the dirt bike boots and knee braces. I have recently started wearing them more on dual sport rides.
I also had the pads outta my Klim jacket because I was wearing my chest protector over it on another ride.
I was getting ready to leave at 5am. I don't know why but before I left I put all the pads back in. Good choice.
You're kidding me.....
You more or less get me home and a deer takes you out, how unlucky is that.
Hoping for the best there's no broke/damaged body parts.
It's a beautiful Sunday!!!!
What a wonderful day for vintage adv riding. 28 years old and still runs like new.
From Parker PA, take Rt 368 across the Allegheny River - continue for 1 mile - right on T871 (Terwilliger Rd) The spring is about 2 miles heading south; on the left.
The water is safe to drink.
Did yoou go to the waterfall while you was up there ?
No - I remembered it was a drop a few months ago after I got home. That's what happens when you get old - you ride old bikes and you can't remember shit.
It's a Honda!!!
One of those and same generation AT are my dream bike combo
I'm thinking that older A-T's are going to be hard to come by in the States as they were never officially imported. Transalps pop up on Craig's list on a regular basis. I bought mine from Track & Trail in State College. The guy who sold it to me (who also owned a Transalp) said that there was a Honda dealer east of State College that specialized in Transalps - any idea who that would be? Was up your way going to and coming from 1000 Islands in Canada three weeks ago. Lovely area!
I'm a bit esst of SC.... maybe Williamson Honda or Bob Logue Honda in Williamsport???
Both have changed hands in the past 4-5 years.
BTW--In the new tag photo, I like the rock that sez 'Amanda + herself'!!!
The previous owner of Bob Logue had a beautiful AT. I believe he is/was active on this board at one point.
Had bacon cheeseburgers and deep fried banana pepper rings. They're excellent. All kinds of riding today put on 125 miles and I bet other than the 7 mile run for lunch and back we didn't do more than 30 miles of black top.
Wow, that place brings back some memories, not all are good!
