    Looks like small bikes have the nod for Friday;
Atsion @11 works for me - got to ride the new bike

(Bill - i have heated vest which I plug into the AT - but tomorrow should be warm)

You talking about the Africa Twin, or another new bike?
11:00 sounds good to me. I'll bring the Rally unless Gerry brings his AT.

Ok so we are actually starting earlier than expected. A bunch of us need to be done by 1230 tomorrow. Some others might stay longer.

We are meeting 9am at wawa. Heated gear helps keep warm in those early hours! We have a few guys leaving from queens and Brooklyn.

Sorry we aren’t starting later :/

Wife and I should be out tomorrow on the small Hondas, starting at Atsion between 11 or 12. We'll likely do our own ride as it'll be only her second time out in the sand but hope to cross paths with some of you.

Any status on current puddle sizes? This time of year can stay wet longer than anticipated.

I was out earlier this week and there was not too much standing water, I expect it's better now as
we have not had any serious rain/snow since. Anyway, most puddles have go-arounds - at least
    I've convinced myself of that.

:-) as I moved to the US only 5 years ago, I thought that only I don't know the meaning, I had to google it - Kick Stand Up.

Got to ride with the Big Bikes from the WAWA to Pakim Pond. Then got a tag, visited with the little bike guys at Atsion, then dropped a couple of tags. Nice morning in the 100 acre wood. Still waiting for Mosey, though!

Thank you guys for the small bikes ride today!
It was great to meet you and a great ride.
Special thanks for Jim, Bill, Jerry (I hope I got all the names right) for letting me realize I'm not old enough to have excuses!!

IMG_3980.jpg Great day, thanks to you all.....perfect. My shakedown cruise on the camper worked out, one of the rear calipers started dragging on the way home. I'll be changing both rear calipers tomorrow at my house and not in one of the southern states in a few days. Thanks again guys, perfect day.

I will keep an eye out for you guys and when you ride. I ride in that area quite a bit for SJER.

If anyone’s doing a Christmas Eve ride tomorrow I’ll be out in Atsion trying out the 14t sprocket on my DR650.

Not sure about time. Maybe 11 so it’ll be a little bit warmer. No route in particular. I just ride around until I’m ready to head back.

I will see if I can get a pass from 'er in-doors. If so, I have a black GMC and will have my KTM with me.

Bike died today jumping a log. Not sure what happened but it won’t start now and I had to walk out. Headed back in now with tools. I think it’s a loose battery terminal.

Today, I was riding Wharton solo on my Super Tenere. That bike is equipped with a full tool kit, compressor, tow rope and jump start cables. I wish I saw this earlier because I would have helped. Please let us know how you made out.

Merry Christmas to everyone on this thread.

I got it out... The previous owner had stripped bolt/threads that secure the negative cable to the terminal so the cable can bounce around and not provide a solid connection. I guess jumping a log knocked it loose. Long story later I had a friend hold the negative terminal down to get a good connection. I tried to start it too many times so the battery was weak. Had to jump it with a jump box to ride it out :muutt

Lesson learned. I’m putting together a tool kit for the DR so that I’ll be ok if I get stranded again. The whole ordeal lasted about 4 hours and walking out of the woods to find people took a while. Glad I wasn’t further out. Lesson learned.
