If you can time it right... Breakfast at Tooloulou's in Banff is a must do.

My best 'tip' is to make a thorough inventory of everything you leave in the storage unit (tools, gear, food, etc.). Then when preparing for your next trips, you can match that up against your 'master packing list' to know exactly what to pack at home.

    Hope this helps!

I second this! After a few months it is really easy to forget what is left behind. I unpack all my gear take pics of what is staying behind and then repack. In the airport on the way back I make a list of everything that I will need to bring back. The first time I left my bike in a storage locker I didn't do this and I found I duplicated some things and left out others

X3, when I did this recently, after a couple months, I completely forgot what I had left with the bike. Little items like chargers and such. My photos and lists helped, but even then, I had to stare at the photos for a while to figure out what some items were. "WTF did I take a picture of that for?" :lol2

Me too. Even having pictures, its hard to remember. I never make a good enough list, then regret it later.

Yup on this plan. Left bikes in Albuquerque and now they are in Vegas. Go out every 6 months for a couple of weeks. Just put in gas treatment (I use startron) and disconnect battery negative. Gonna leave them in salt lake end of April - any suggestions. Usually 10x10 less than 70/ month.

I'd get good references for SLC, it's the only city/place I've heard of RSFR folks having storage theft.

My bike is currently in El Paso, 2018 should see Denver, Boise, and Vegas.

Would like to hear about your trips . . . are you keeping a log, blog, or ride report?

We used the CubeSmart near the airport in SLC twice and I was very happy with them. CubeSmarts have a live-on-site manager. They will also receive UPS shipments of gear, etc. and put it in your unit if you leave a key with them. They also would hold cartons in their office that we would have UPS pick up after we left town. Easy to get to...commuter train from airport, then walk a couple of blocks... it's the one on Redmond Rd.
