    The kitchen was actually outside the streetcar on the back side. The mural on the wall is just a depiction of the kitchen.

    I had a nice trail and country road ride planned for last Sunday but the Saturday night storms changed my plans. Instead, I did a ride down Tulsa Route 66 picking up some pic's of old motels, gas stations, etc. I'll just dump them all here in one post.

    Wonder Bread plant: closed 2012 when Rainbow bought them out. My daughter used to love driving by this and smelling the fresh bread (I did too.) 36.147865, -95.903546

    Campbell Hotel, built 1927: 36.147702, -95.952111

    Considered to be one of Tulsa first urban shopping centers. It was located at the east end of the trolley line into downtown. The bottom floor had barber and beauty shops, and drug and grocery stores. The upper floor was the hotel. The hotel has reopened and the bottom floor is now retail and restaurant space.

    Is that crack in the ground in front of the sign due to that being the precise point where the left slopes to the Pacific, the right to the Atlantic so the concrete is under stress?

    McCook, Il. Roadway traverses the middle of a quarry. Closed because they dynamited too close to the roadway making it unsafe to drive on.

    That looks like the Devil's Elbow bridge. Looks the same as the one at Hazelgreen but it is a few inches shorter. ???
