Ugg boot handguards - what's not to like?

If uggies weren't so expensive I'd give that a go. Sadly it's cheaper to buy the manufactured handguards..

As KDB has suggested the car park at the main control "Kapunda Trotting Track Complex" is you're best option camp along the tree line
there will plenty of others there. Buy a program should have a map of the spectator areas and first riders times, go up and have a look
around. The 24 Hour web site has a lot of information even spectator area maps are put up before the trial.

Fitted 2 fresh tyres. Fresh oil. Took a look in the air box and it looked ok. I’ll hit the road Monday morning

Is there any difference to the type of tracks between Kapunda and Eudunda?

I didn't have a lot of fun last year in the thick bulldust with lots of rocks, and was wondering if I should go next year, or wait until it's back at Kapunda...

Mostly the same just a different start point. They always go out on the plains in the mallee scrub where the bulldust is. That's half the fun though isn't it lol

I prefer Kapunda starts, more so cause end of lap 2 you can come into the racecourse and stand around under shelter out of the cold or rain for 20 minutes. As far as the course goes, no real difference, you can be across the road from a section we used last year, as will what is going to happen this year.

Next year's track will most likely have 1 section that will be deep bulldust, very rideable though. There will most likely be one section that if it's wet again and on the third lap, will make you phone your mum for a . But, them again, now you have tasted what the 24 can throw at you, you will breeze it in.

I did a 24 hour street ride as part of the Cal2 competition and have raced, as a team, some 24 hour mini moto events on the track. Endurance races are the coolest. They're not as popular here in the states as they once were unfortunately.

The SA 24 hour trial has been going since 1924 & at one stage during the 50's was 36 hours.
The big difference between the SA 24 & other 24 hour events is that only one rider must do the whole 24 hours & cannot take on any spares/clothing or accept any outside assistance.
    4 x 6 hour laps.

Interesting. When I did the cal24 it was 24 hours straight alone. But you could carry things like tyre repair kits and clothing with you.

The SA 24 sounds like a much rougher event. I'd love to watch it some time.

The SA 24 hour is the second oldest continuously run motorsport event in the world. Apparently. I can recall as a kid in the 60's it was a really big deal every year when this event ran, like a properly big fuss.

P.S. I don't know what the oldest one is. Anyone?

I had it that it is the "oldest continuous held road trials" event in the world.
