Hello. We are 4 friends and we are planning a trip the next summer from Greece to Magadan with our motorcycles. Do you know a way so we can ship (via air, ground or sea) so we can send our bikes from Magadan to Greece (or somewhere in Europe and pick them up from there)?

We are interested also for shipping from Europe to Magadan.

Do you know anything about custom when shipping a bike to Russia and picking it up from there?

    Thanks

Think you might have better luck with vladivostok?

If you're considering going east->west, keep in mind it means riding against the setting sun.

You can send your bikes by plane.

From Magadan to Moscow of course.

The ticket's prices aren't so high as you mean

Pardon me, if this is off-topic, but as I´m planning a RTW in a few years: why does it seem like sending motorcycles anywhere out of Vladivostok is damn expensive?? I haven´t been there myself yet. But there seems to be a strong tendency to recommend that you ´buy´ (or actually rent) the entire container.. which might be okay, if you have 8-10 bikes, but if you´ve got just 1-2, like my plan has, then it appears to be really steep, thousands of bucks before the bikes even move anywhere. The direction from Vlad for me would be either to Anchorage, Alaska (or, if I get a bit more time for the trip, then to Japan or South Korea - and at least to S.Korea should be possible to just take a ferry boat, right?)

For reference: This is a long time ago I know, but I´ve sent a DL650 by sea from Sydney Australia to Helsinki Finland in April 2008, and the entire operation ended up costing less than 700 euros. This includes everything at both ends. It was sent by using LCL (less than container load) seafreight, and although it took just about 2 months, I think the price was pretty good considering that´t literally half-way around the planet, about 15.000kms as the crow flies.
Is this type of seafreight not available from Vladivostok? Has anyone sent from there to another country by using airfreight? Thanks for any ideas.

What kind of price are you seeing to airfreight a bike from Magadan? If its cost effective, I may be interested.

    Hi,
it's better and aesily to send'em to Moscow or St.Petersburg and drive from here to EU.
There are many transportation companies dealing with shipping modular cargo to and from Vladivostok.

Just a general info, a guy who was trying to cross his bike from end of asia(magadan or vladivostok) to japan told me that air freight is around 10 usd/kg... he meant total cost and mentioned that distance doesn't matter really on air freights. He learned this because he said even from end of asia to japan was very expensive to ship his bike (TNR660) by sea. IDK how exact info is this or is there any other charges.

Well I also would like to learn the cheapest way of shipping(total cost including both side charges) from Magadan or Vladivostok to Moscow.
