It's $80 for the whole show. I had thought there was a price breakdown on the first page, but I don't see it. The facebook link on page one has the price, so that is what I paid.

I'm curious. How many women are signed up for the big bike adventure ride this year?

Are there any spots still open? I'm a noob and figured something like this would be great to get some experience without stranding myself out somewhere alone.

I'm riding a 2004 dl650, running a Shinto 705 in back, k60 scout on front but that can be changed up . I'm new as in 3 years riding with the same bike with some, but not much, off road riding experience. I've been on gravel, dirt, and on some forest roads both maintained and not so maintained and took a long trip last year from West Chester,Pa to the Florida Panhandle. I'm not totally green but I'm not that confident to try too much on my own just in case. I like that this was described as a learning experience.

I’m on a DL1000 but with Kenda Big Blocks! I’m pretty sure David’s gonna want you to throw a set of knobby’s on that Pig in order to come out and play with us! Those Shitko’s won’t cut it!

I might add that your gonna want crash bars and a Bash Plate as the Vstrom's just don't tip over very well and have very little ground clearance! And BTW, that plastic POS covering the Oil Filter is just there for decoration, it really serves no purpose in the real world!

I agree that you current tires will hold you back. At least a 50/50 for this event. BTW, this is a great event. It will be my second year. Can't wait.

@jcvd01 As stated above, you may want to try something more aggressive than a Shinko 705 and a K60 front. This ride has a few sections that are typically (hopefully) deep mud and slick as snot. Those tires will leave you stuck in the muck. If you wanted to stay low budget, the shinko 804/805 combo or the kenda big blocks are good choices. Lot's of choices out there for the 19" front and 17" rear.

I figured the tires would not be good enough, I got the 705 for my trip which I knew would be mostly on road riding and it was good for that. I want to try to get some more dirt experience this year, so you think with the tires I will not be in over my head with this ride? Don't want to embarrass myself or be in the way. Thanks for the input so far.

With a decent set of tires and a good attitude there won't be anything embarrassing. It is a great ride that I do on my little Zong RX3 on Shinko 804/805s and the group of riders are all friendly and helpful. The mud section is challenging and a shit ton of fun. We all help each other out when we get stuck. The ride leaders are all good guys. The camp fire after the ride is also a blast

There will also be an easier Adventure route that's mostly paved and gravel roads, so you will not be lacking in riding. Just the challenge route will be tough without proper tires.
