2 Fridays ago at Crystal Mountain, opening day for the upper hill. Most excellent opening in years! Skied out in a few hours for the most part, and real glad I was on the rock skis! Cuz if they weren't before, they are now. Unfortunately been a little sparse since then, and with a week of blue skies in the future, gonna be a while longer yet. Guess I'll have to ride instead.....

Any chance anyone is part of a group doing a Wallowa hut trip this winter? My crew is not doing that this winter, but I'd still like to, if I could fill a spot ...

Anyone out making turns these days? I have been working two jobs as of late, 6am to 9pm so my free time is non-existent. I hope to get up to Meadows at least once this year, but I hear the snow hasn't been great.....

    It is "this winter"...

Better make sure we have the snow you are looking for before booking...however Feb is usually our big snow month...but right now the pack is thin and dangerous due to a faceted layer near the bottom of the snow pack...again, some snow in forecast but we are hurting for snow..

Mt Bachelor got 4" today and 10" in the last three days . . . not bad compared to some poor conditions we've had this year.

I'm heading up to Meadows tonight while it's still cold enough to snow. Gonna get me some "freshies".
Looks like more rain up there tomorrow :-(

10" new powder at Bachelor today. If you like to pick your powder days, there haven't been many this year.

    Get while it lasts.
