At the risk of pre-empting anyone, I figured I'd start this season's thread.

Less then a month to go until Premier League play starts, and I'm getting a bit excited.

Was wowed yesterday with LFC's signing of Alisson. The squad is really shaping up!

I went looking for a Mo Salah jersey for this season, but $118 (on sale!) :dirtdog

Maybe I can find a E. Can one on closeout...

Or just stick to my firechicken shirt I sweated thu during the Champ League final (it was 90 degrees that day up here).

Heh, Arsenal. Unai Emery. Somehow not so interested after Wenger left. Might be a neutral for some time.

Give Sarrismo a watch. It could be fun, once they get it together.

I see that Jose Mourinho is in tip-top third-season form.

Is he being a negative Nancy? Let me count the ways...

    • Criticized Martial for going back to France for the birth of his second child and staying too long
    • Criticized Ed Woodward for not landing his transfer targets
    • Criticized officiating in the friendly, saying they came from the baseball federation
    • Criticized the (admittedly silly) pre-season tournament that United are playing in, saying fans are being ripped-off because the big players aren't there
    • Criticized his squad repeatedly as he makes excuses for bad showings so far -- because no other club has players resting from their World Cup exertions, apparently

And that's just in the last week. It's hard to believe how charismatic this man was in his first stint at Chelsea. But he came back from Italy and Spain a changed man, seemingly bitter, negative and paranoid. He's becoming intensely unlikeable.

come on man, I'm trying to be positive here. :D

    :flush

Color me surprised, he is ruining Martial. Also lost to Bayern..... :snore Played poorly. I'm not sad we ditched the plans to go see them play Liverpool in Ann Arbor. I was REALLY close, then looked at date, and was like....big players will be just gettin' done with the cup. I was right. just save it to hit a US (men or women) game the next time one comes close. Friendly or otherwise.

Premiere league going to be fun at the top. (Without my team of course. lol) Pool, Spurs, City seem strongest, to me. Cant wait to make a poor prediction.

Kids u12 club league starts next week, so Ill have real footy to think about.

Conte molded his system to his players.

Sarri is doing the opposite. So Chelsea won't see the dramatic turnaround that Conte executed to win the Premier League title in his first season.

We may have to wait until he gets his kind of players. It's looking like he needs a centerback, a midfielder, a striker and at least one fullback.

Yeah, now it's definitely a keeper. Courtois is boycotting training until he gets his move.

    Fuck him.

You would have lost to City whatever happens in the board room.......:imaposer
    But, this is atrocious!:
The statement said Kroenke also intends to exercise the legal right which comes with 90% ownership of a company, and force all remaining small shareholders, most of them Arsenal supporters, to sell their shares to him. That stance, and Kroenke’s intention to take the club off the stock exchange and reconstitute it as a private company wholly owned by him, was criticised by the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust (AST), which described the announcement as “a dreadful day for Arsenal football club”.
