Good news. The garage, and it's contents, didn't blow away in the wind storm. Had to be 60+ mph gusts and it's still bendin' the trees as I write this. I haven't walked around the yard, yet, to look for damage on the house or anywhere else, but we've managed through the few-times-a-year 60 - 80mph winds, so this one should have been too bad. More good news. This hot breezes have melted every bit of snow out of the yard, driveway, roads and nearly everywhere I can see from the house (except the mountain tops and the ice on Lake Helena/Hauser Lake). More good news. Yesterday, about a dozen Robin Red Breast road in on the warm air and were in the yard dueling for territory. Spring isn't far away. Oh, there will be more snow, as always, and still a few more months until all the trails are open/snow free, but road and backroad riding is now good except for the occasional shady spot up high. I've managed to ride a few times in the last month, which started as soon as our 2 miles of gravel road melted and became ice free, but now way more roads just opened up. How about them apples? When is the last time you read a "good news/bad news" post and it turned out to be all good news?!
