and Ying says she is hungry. How can someone so small want to eat all the time. Me thinks she just wants to go over and climb the big iron tree to the arches.

Sat down after posting and saw the new scooter tag. Well, Ying was just itching to go again and Star was still warm. Can't say no. So off we go.
I had no idea where a game place was. Asked SWMBO and she of course knows everything and informed me where to go.

Ying thought it was another road side park and climbing toys:

A beautiful day in Alabama. Star and Ying enjoy the outdoors. The foliage is just outstanding. Ying wants to know if she can climb the tree and eat the popcorn.

Yes!!!! Another day in paradise. Riding around visiting places I've not seen in years. Memories of the simpler times when everyone knew everyone around town.

This was a local eating place kinda like Arnold's drive in:
Ying was upset. She thought I'd stopped here for lunch.
A local house that was restored and is very colorful:
For some reason, Ying kept repeating...Green? Green! Green.....
House in a small town with a picket fence....what more could you need? A bigger porch perhaps?
This little building used to have the local furniture store. Everyone came here to buy their furnishings. Then bigger and better came along and this is all that is left:
A friendly little softball field hid out in an area where only the locals go. Reminds me of the Doc Hollywood movie for some reason:
As the highways and interstates came near, the businesses moved from the small roads and main streets to where the traffic is:

    Thanks Eric,
Just took a short detour while going to the nursing home for the daily ritual with mom. But it was so beautiful today. When I arrived, my brother was just arriving from the other direction.
Good timing. It has been a good day.

Man O Man how I missed the scoot and didn't realize it until I got one again. Poor CTX has only been ridden 3 times in the past month......
I got my Givi mount on the rear, new ProGrip 714, a GPS Ram mount, and I'm waiting on an accessory plug to power the GPS and I'll be set.
By the time I get it all finished, I'll prolly need new tires. I already got 'em in the garage and ready to fit 'em. That'll be perfect timing for the summer season...wooohooo.

Yes, I know that 400. I used to ride a 650E until 2014. Great scoots. Like that 2nd pic the best. That is great.

Stuck in the house because I washed Star and you know how women are once they get dolled up:arch. So, rain, mist, and mud kept us in the garage today. :raindance
What a guy to do when his girl doesn't want to go out? Can you say MODS? :hmmmmm
As they say, if it's still running, you ain't done enough mods. :muutt
I already installed a GPS mount, but she needs power.
Battery is under the seat and I need power on the dash. Search shows some Swing owners running 2 wires, some tapping into the headlight wire, some installing a power block, etc.
I got a small roll of 12 gauge wire, a lighter socket, and started work.
I ran one wire from the battery under the left side panel, under the floorboard, up the left side of the fairing, between the frame and headlight to the right side, cut a hole for the socket, and voila...I got one of those cheap USB plug in adapters if/when I need the USB option. I musta done something wrong though, I didn't have any parts or screws left over when I finished :lol3
Clears the pocket door, steering, not in the way of seeing the dash, easy access, and is unobtrusive. Dang it, getting old makes it difficult to pat myself on the back....don't bend like I used too.
Now all I can think about is going for a ride and using the GPS to see how accurate my ODO is....my speedo?
Hmmmm, with 12 gauge wire, I should be able to power my GPS, my phone, my TV, Stereo, the big amp,.......let me just replace this 10 amp fuse with a 100 :imaposer

Went out helmet shopping today. Already posted a pic at the shop previously. Ordered a HJC IS33 in gloss black, size XL. Tried an AFX but the sun visor came down on my glasses.
The L size in HJC did ok, just tight. I gotta fat head. Stopped by the local school and took this for the scooter tag (also my Alma Mater). This place was so much smaller when I was a student there. They even have electricity now :lol3

Out tag hunting today and got a few other shots along the way.

Star enjoys putting around the back roads, but Ying is getting board. I have to read the signs to her because she is still learning to read.

Here is the old original bridge going into Brookside. It has become old and finally taken out of service. It has since been replaced by the new one to the right.
Probably a good place for a good block party, but someone would probably fall over the edge into the Five Mile Creek.

One of the old mining houses moved next to Town Hall. An old faded historic sign is to the right, but can hardly be read. It's officially called the Historic Museum.

Ying tried on my new HJC IS33 helmet today. XXL. Me likes it very good. The vent on top is great. Can actually feel the wind once it is open.
I feel it is a bit large on Ying. She seems pretty happy with it though. I couldn't take it back off her then as she looked at me with those big beautiful eyes.

    Out tagging today:
Star was purring along today. She was happy to be out. Ying was sad (look at that face) cause I wouldn't let her play in that new clearing...

Out for my daily routine. I saw a small drive/street I'd not been down before even though I'd passed it almost daily for a few decades.
I was just admiring all the bright colors of signs, flowers, buildings, and stopped to photograph this one.
Ying was trying to read the name on the sign....she thought chiropractic was referring to some type of farm equipment.

My daily routine to the nursing home. Though it is a dreary place by nature, they make the surroundings beautiful and peaceful.
Nothing fancy, just the sign and some small but lovely flowers at the entrance. A really nice courtyard on the other side.
Ying asked me if I came here to flirt with the nurses. Geez, of course not. What kinda person you think I am?
I came here to flirt with the therapist :imaposer

Good luck with the new scoot. I used to own a 2003 Candy Apple Red one that I bought in December of 2007. I put 21,000 miles on the bike in the two years I had it here in New England.

And old store called Brackett Grocery was a place back in the 1950's where kids would ride their bicycles to and hang out on the store porch, buy sodas, and candy. Everyone knew each other. The store owners lived in the house pictured to the left. A lot of growth had almost covered the buildings and now someone has began clearing. Brought back lots of memories from my previous life (yes, my childhood).
There was an old bus that came by about twice a day ran by an individual. Only one stop sign on the whole length of road created a welcome test of driving skills for young bucks. The community was called Republic. Had 2 stores, a school, and a post office.
Today there is one store, not affiliated with either of the originals. No post office. No school. Well, that's all as far as facts. Of course Ying always has something to say. She asked if this is where the Adams family lived. At least it wasn't "Are we there yet?"
