TAG; By the numbers!

Here's what we need, another tag game!

But this is different. When you make the grab, you don't have to post the next tag, everyone knows that 37 follows 36, etc. etc. etc.

Here's the rules.

Get and post a picture of your bike with whatever number is next in sequence. Sequential consecutive numbers are allowed, under all circumstances! That's all the rules, let's go! This is truly a global tag game, everybody everywhere has numbers. Think of the possibilities, license plates, model numbers, gas price signs, street addresses, speed limit signs, advertisements, there is almost no limit!

If someone just posted number "139", you'd need to post something like this.....


You can see the number "140" on the utility box top left.


I somebody else posted "458", you could post something like this to grab for number "459"





So, I'll start it with number "1", also acceptable is the number spelled out, like "one"


Now get out there and grab "2"

Meet ATV trail #3. It parallels the highway and doesn't go anywhere interesting, but it's much more fun than being stuck in traffic!

You have ATV trails? What a great idea! How many miles of ATV trails are there?


By the way, we're looking for a five.

And a word of advice I thought of, if you head out to grab a number, it might get grabbed while you're out riding, so maybe it would be a good idea to grab a couple of numbers at a time......

I was going to avoid doing exactly that. Hell, I could get file pics of the next 30 numbers in sequence. I was going to suggest that you require a time stamp later than the current tag on all shots.

Oh, we got a whole lot of trails up here in the Upper Peninsula, you could ride for days without using pavement (other than at crossings). http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-10365_14824-31074--,00.html (Check out the regional maps, it looks like termites.) This area used to have a lot of railroads serving the local cities and industries (copper mines, iron mines, lumber), but as the mines dried up and semi-trucks became popular, most of the tracks were ripped out, leaving clear right-of-ways between all the local cities. So during the summer, they're ATV trails and popular with bikes and dog walkers, and during the winter they're groomed for snowmobiles.

I agree with the idea of "planning ahead" and think it would allow more people to play and keep the game moving. On other tag games, I've seen many complaints from people that can't play because they work and only have weekends free. As a student, I'm kind-of in the same situation, so by grabbing a bunch of tags, we can still play during the week instead of watching everyone else have fun. Also, you'll have a "backup" tag in case someone steals your tag. If everyone has multiple tags at their disposal, nobody has to worry about hogging all the action or being left out, because sooner or later it will roll around to a number that you have. I think the "spirit" of tag games is "while you're out riding, look for a ..." so go for a ride, grab some tags, and have fun (for example, after the #3 above, I started wandering around and found the #5 below, as well as a 7 which we may see soon). As long as your picture is only a few days old, I think it should count, we're on the honor system anyways, and after all, it's only a game.

That's the spirit! It is only a game, and I thought it unnecessary to add the time stamp to make sure people use current pictures, no file photos. But, if you went out today and took a 9, 11, 17, 25, and such, I see no problem with them taking a day or two to get posted because you have to wait for someone else to get the number in between. That's why the rule against consecutive postings.

The whole point is.....

Get out and ride!

The beauty of this tag is that anyone, anywhere has access to "numbers", even on very short rides. We could end up at 100 or above in just a few days, and then, doG knows the limits..............
