Nice to see someone else from NC on here. I’ll be following this as I’m headed out on a Tuesday for anchorage on my Road king - debating buying or renting a dual sport when I get up there.

Left the house in fl around 0730 this morning. Got to Jeff’s place in Columbia SC around 1500. Nice easy drive up the interstate. His AT is the ducks guts....really well set up. I’ll get him to post a photo.

Ben rode up from Charleston and got here at 1600.

Jeff’s beautiful wife Hillary made an awesome Mexican casserole for dinner. All was well in the world when she brought out double chocolate ice cream bars for dessert. I can die now and go to heaven....my life is complete.

Oh....I’ll start posting more stuff when we leave Rocky’s place in OK on the bikes...until then there’s not much that will interest you folks just towing a trailer down the interstate. I appreciate all the well wishes for a safe ride, thanks :thumb:thumb

Tim - I have the same feeling before I leave for a trip - do I have everything? Did I forget anything. Except for the passport 'if' you did forget something you can buy it on the road :beer

Yes we have it good here in North America for sure. Anything we need we can get overnight or along the side of the road in any strip mall :lol3

Sounds great Dave, have a safe ride and I’ll get with you when I get back.

Jeff’s preflight....I’ll get him to tell you about his panniers....those things are works of art. They’re made by a company named Buamot in Europe.

This morning Jeff and Ben will leave on their bikes while I head to my house outside of Asheville to take care of a few things before I head out Tuesday afternoon. Ill catch up to them later.

They’ll be having a nice backroads ride out to OK. I know they’ll be camping tonight at the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge in near Stecoah NC if anyone’s in the area and want to stop by to say howdy.

In for this one...have fun guys! I'm interested to hear how both Suzuki's do on this trip. I'm still deciding which one to take next summer.

I am all exited to see you guys. Although I have to ride from Anchorage to Calgary to Watson Lake first. Seems like taking the long way round!
