Reading all the old posts on this thread that go back years I became quite fond of some of the inmates and the replies. As the pages progressed I noticed that some of them dropped off and were no longer posting. I suppose they moved on, bought another bike, or maybe got a new name? Anyway I enjoy reading pretty much all of the posts.

I believe it is the H4 for mine. DR200SE

I’m also looking for LED replacement bulbs for the stock rear blinkers. I did a search through this thread but I did not see a link or a write up anywhere specifically for them. Anybody know where to get some?

Baseman you are correct, lots of info and ppl that don’t get all bent bc you are asking questions

I found this tread few months ago when my DR was not running right due to carb issues, found even tho I cleaned the crud out of it float level was slightly off causing issue. Readjusted using info from here and boom runs great again

Lots of really good posts from trail rider in up-grades I plan on doing to the old girl

Hello I live in Hawaii and have a 2009 DR200 SE, I have a leaking gasket problem or something all around the engine from the mechanic I spoke to he said just forget trying to fix it because it will probably just come back and cost too much to fix and just keep replacing the oil. Ive stuck to his advice and just keep cleaning the oil all the time nearly every ride. Is it too difficult to fix it by myself and how to go about it? or should I just do what he said and forget it. Another problem I have is my steering gets like stuck when I turn on the road they've said it was a bushing issue and I look to fix that one day but its still rideable fine. Another problem recently was my spedomete went out know what do about that? and at last my friend has a Yamaha 250 brand new one and id like to use his turn signals on my bike as he bought new ones im unsure how to go about this and if its very difficult. any help would be sweet thanks

not worth doing in my opinion since they are not running light type whereas the electrical load would be reduced. I changed the panel light bulbs to all LED. for the turn signals u also have to change the flasher relay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-Fla...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

Thanks for that trail rider. I probably won’t do it it makes sense. You seem to have some good ideas have you ever had to take a dent out of a gas tank? I got one on the side of my DR200. I saw some cheap dent puller’s that use a glue gun on Amazon but I’m not sure they’re any good.

Several years ago I saw a guy use shop air pressure to remove a dent in the side of the tank. Pet cock was closed, used like a large beaker rubber plug with a hole in the middle to seal the fuel inlet. Applied just a quick shot of air pressure and popped the dent right out

no experience besides just reading others attempts and it always depends on the dent what works or not. youtube it and compare to your dent for a fix.

Thank you for the tip, I also just saw somebody do that on YouTube for a relatively small dent. I might give that a try and look at a few other options as well.

Bought a set of Handlebar risers 7/8” x 30 mm and received them today. Going to put them on tonight. I hope they fit without any problems.
