Damn, you Aussies are a tough breed.
Leprechauns suggested I should add some sidecar content
What, now it looks like the little fellas are gonna start goin' 'round in DB circles?
At least Bear had the decency to allow for retaining the factory battery box in the stock location when he glued it together
Seems I require a threaded weld in bung for the top rear subframe mount. Thing is, wheeze don't hAz one of those. What to do? What to do!?
Ah, will you look at that, a drunken leprechaun sleeping under a workbench. Perfect!! So I grabbed the widdle bastard and lashed his sorry arse to the lathe.
This is the result. Like him, it may not be pretty, but it'll do the job
I do love it when a plan comes together *snork*
Plug welding it ? Not your first rodeo is it ?
Yeah. Two plug welds. One each on the load sides.
The insert has a 35 bevel cut. Somewhat less than an 1/8th gap at the root of the fillet. You know, for that old full penetration thing.
I'm just kinda weird like that.
Stop patting yourself on the shoulder you'll hurt yourself ! I don't know what you've been doing all your life but it wasn't all kissing the bulldogs ass ! I'll bet it involved drinking beer ! Since your not an Aussie your probably only an amateur at that ! Have a lovely day !
As I tell the young guns: "You only get one chance to burn a root!"
Are you going to build a smooth road outfit at any time ?
These ladies like it smooth.
Driver and passenger with their Gixxer 1000 powered outfit.
I saw them later out cruising the ring road when I was hauling the grandkids on the Ice Bear.
I've toyed with the notion. Either a GSXR750 which would employ the stock frame. Or a... *gasp* K1200 motor hooked to a K100 gearbox with a mono, wrapped in a custom frame.
Independent women living life by their rules.
You're a good man. And I mean that sincerely.
Looks like I'll have to wake Bear, seems the rest of the exhaust has arrived.
I'll get the little fellas to give it a polish when it's all done.
Well that's just great. It appears that Bear has opened a home for wayward kwakas
Looks like the little fellas will be busy cut'n up a heap more stuff, and chucking it in the scrap bin...
Maybe you've been poking around in the pile marked 'Inverted unicorn horns and rocking horse farts'...
It occurred to me that the leprechauns forgetted to stock up with 4" cutting discs... the sporty may live another few days yet.
Oh, wait. You meant the kwaka. Silly me
It's bizarre, but all these parts just keep showing up, like, from nowhere, man.
What are the odds that another set of DRZ' forks (don't need the triples) will materialize from outta the space time continuum? That would be cool
Can't help with the DRZ forks , but , I did spy a Unicorn riding a Suzuki.
Well , he was on the Suzuki some of the time , Unikorns can't ride for shit.
I'd heard that rumor about their riding skills. Still, I wouldn't have fully believed it without the pic's. Thanks.
In between the odd one or two nanna naps, the leprechauns actually managed to strip out the Versys. Spare parts galore, be they electrical or mechanical. Well, that's not entirely accurate as there will be no spare stator. Which was the sole reason why the spare Versys was snaveled in the first place.
At this rate the whole tug is gonna cost the bloke less than six months worth of double decaf flat white with no milk lattes at Starbucks a set of Touratech bags for a GS'.
