    something i've been wondering...
    are those aluminum panels on the tank meant to be sacrificial and save the tank from drops or are they just decorative? i know they are replaceable, but i really don't care about the "customizing" aspect. coming from a bike that is very prone to tank dents from the slightest tip over, i think it'd be cool to have a way to avoid that, being that it's a scrambler and about 90% of the hipsters that buy one will drop it in the dirt in short order having something to save the tank would be awesome.

    I wasn't about to test that feature. But the bars are up too high to dent the tank and I'm sure the bars would touch the ground first, not the tank. Now, if the steering lock tab broke in the fall....the aluminum panels, I do believe would be the only thing to touch.

    Well Kerouac died a drunk in his mother's house in Lowell, and Carradine was found hanging in a Bangkok hotel closet. Jackman's doing OK but he takes a lot of flack for being married to a woman who's his own age. Be careful out there.

    Not knowing the ending is what makes a story interesting. Life seems no different.

    With that said--I'm fairly certain I won't end up like Carradine!

    My comparison with Carridine was specifically to the Kung Fu character. My impression is that AH has a similar balance of inner piece and restlessness (nevermind the martial arts training). I wasn't even sure if Dennis would 'get' my comparison, but I just read up to this post on the C2C thread (pg 93):

    Kerouac = unfiltered

    As for Jackman - well, that is a terrible fate :cry

    Back to the Scrambler -- Anyone in Florida - Euro Cycles (Tampa Bay) is having a release party 4/23

    It was just a 7 day ride, so yes...bummer, I'd love to go spend a few more days in DV/Joshua Tree/Sequoia.

    All foreigners, and I don't mean Chinese, but rather East Coasters and mid westerners chasing tech dollars. SF is a sad sight for those of us who grew up there.

    ...doesn't matter. I'm enjoying reliving my Death Valley ride (RR link below) through yours. I could go to Rhyolite tonight in my dreams. I want to go again on a bike!

    :clap Just found this RR and loved it as per usual AH stuff. I'm about 90% sure a Scrambler is going to be my next bike, just need to find one in my general vicinity that hasn't been sold yet. :lol3 That last video you did of riding in DV offroad is about the pace I do on my DS bike offroad, so I think it's a win on all points for me there. Test rode one today (road only) and thoroughly enjoyed it (soft suspension and all :deal ) so as soon as I can get the fundage together I'm picking one up!!
